It slides very smoothly. Due to the fact it does not slide quite as easily as my other friction slider, I feel like it may be easier to get consistently smooth shots with it. It can be challenging to keep a consistent pace with roller sliders since they move effortlessly. However, I am still very satisfied with the quality of the slider so far and have been very pleased with all products I have purchased from Neweer.
Compared to many other mounts you can find on Amazon, this one is really not expensive at all. I strongly recommend it for those just getting started.
