A standard 1/4-inch tripod mount is included with the articulating camera platform. However, whether or not it will fit your camera is determined by the width of your camera and the location of its tripod socket. You must also use what Sony refers to as an "Attachment Buckle" to secure the platform to the Harness. This is an additional item that comes with Sony Action Cameras and accessory kits.
Yes. This is the only option. The camera is connected to the chest harness via the case.

I saw some videos of chest-mounted biking and thought the view would be cool and the camera would be easier to manipulate than the helmet mount I'd been using. My camera is a little wider than the Sony action cams, but I used the included 90-degree mount instead of the one that came with my camera, and it works perfectly. br>The camera protrudes quite a bit (I'm not sure what the length difference between the brands is) and pulls the harness plate down a little, but this isn't a problem when properly adjusted. I'm a small woman, so I didn't need to tighten the straps all the way to get a good fit. I was surprised at how well it stayed in place while riding (granted, I usually just sit there while the dog runs).
This rig not only fit but also felt comfortable on my 52" chest. While hauling in tarpon, the camera was easy to adjust and stayed stable. It stayed out of the way, though I did tap it with the reel every now and then, which I didn't realize until I watched the show. The camera was not moved by those "love taps. " br>br>For me, this harness is well worth the money. I'm really happy with it!.
Built specifically for Sony camcorders, this is a very high-quality product. My Sony FDR is securely held in this case. One thing I despise about this camera mount is that it requires a coin or something similar to turn it (see photo), whereas another part has a built-in screw handle. Why don't you put it on both sides?.
It appeals to me. I recommend getting it so you can ride with your hands free, such as when cycling or riding a motorcycle. br>Watch Otter Get Up and Ride on YouTube to see it in action.
It looks a little strange with the Action Cam protruding from your chest, but I've never hit it and it hasn't gotten in the way while mountain biking. I was also able to attach the camera to my lab (which wasn't designed for it) and it worked perfectly!.
While it's brand new, it's fantastic. However, after a long period of use, it will become flimsy. I spend a lot of time on my mountain bike. and it didn't last long. It's been a year, and I'm in need of a replacement. Mine has a crack in it as a result of constant adjusting. It isn't a bad situation. Just know that if you use it the way it's supposed to be used, it might last a year.
Anyone who enjoys mountain biking or snowshoeing should check out this site. Mounting an action camera on your bike causes a lot of vibrations, so this is ideal if you want to go through the forest or something similar. The effect of the riders' view is enhanced when it is mounted on your chest. You can see your arm and steering wheel, as well as the road (if there is one) ahead. It's fun to play around with the 120 / 170 angle setting on the Action Cam to see what works best.
Only works with the Sony Action Cam, but it's a good one. Close-up action shots, hand shots, and fishing shots are all good choices.
