Questions & Answers
Since the camera can only support a 256GB Micro SD card due to a compatibility concern, we still recommend you keep it to that amount.
Please note that if you are looking to use the camera without the Reolink PoE NVR, you will need to connect the camera directly to your router to gain Internet access and then power it independently from the router. If your power adapter supports IEEE 802.11, you can use it, or if your switch supports IEEE 802.48, you can use a 12V1A power adapter. In order to achieve that, you will need the 3AF. Feel free to contact us via Amazon Message if you need any further assistance.
How near it is to the vehicle will determine the distance between it and the camera. On top of my garage, I can clearly see the license plates that are located at the end of my driveway, which is around 50 feet long.

Image quality is best when it is still.
I like the Reolink brand, it is easy to use and has a great picture.

These security cameras were ordered because of their 8MP/4K resolution, as I imagine many others have done. In addition, my 4MP camera produces a much clearer image than my 8MP camera. A much clearer image can be captured with these cameras. It's not just that they're clearer in the daytime. In the evening, they are even more clear. It is very nice to have cameras like these from Reolink. There is no easier way to install this camera physically. It's as simple as mounting the camera wherever you like and connecting the camera to your POE switch, router, or NVR with a Cat5 cable. That's all there is to Using your web browser, you can set up the camera as a standalone unit. There is nothing complicated and only a few minutes are required. On the other hand, setting this camera up to work with any ONVIF security system/NVR you might own will almost certainly take a bit more effort and time. You will need to spend a bit of time preparing your pre-production of this camera Currently, the existing system is in place. As a matter of fact, with all the advantages and disadvantages of this system, I bought an ONVIF camera two years ago that I was unable to integrate into my setup. The camera was sent back after I had tried for a couple of hours. This group of cameras is great, if I may say so. In addition to the excellent daytime clarity and the excellent nighttime clarity, the intelligent detection is a real plus. It will be difficult to find a better security camera with 4K/8MP than this one. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about these Reolink security cameras. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have! Thank you for taking the time to read this review.
There is an issue with the timelapse in the app. It was primarily the timelapse feature that led me to get these cameras. Due to its dependence on the app, it cannot be used without it. In either the Windows software or the browser, it's not an option. Sadly, the app crashes every time I try to playback the timelapse video, and there is no way for me to download it without playing it first. However, you can delete the micro-payment from the app. Timelapses require a SD card (card is required for that) and access to the files on it. Files in this format are mp4. Furthermore, there is a lot of bad quality in this video. There are 896x512 pixels in this picture. Bottom line It's a waste of time to add the timelapse function. The IP camera is pretty darn good as an IP camera. The software they provide must be installed with their own software, but that takes a very short time and is very straightforward. While my NVR did not detect the camera, I was able to add it to its list manually using its IP address, etc. **** The quality is excellent, too. I only had a problem with playback of the video in this app. I experience some lag when playing back clips and my computer crashes whenever I try to The ONVIF NVR is a good blend of ease of use and quality that would work well for a stand-alone system or an ONVIF NVR.
I bought this as an upgrade to my home security camera. I decided to upgrade to Blue Iris NVR after purchasing the product. When using the main stream and the substream from the camera, performance was less than stellar. The Reolink beta firmware seemed to fix the problem when I looked it up when I googled it. The image firmware that I requested was sent to me by Olivia in an extremely short period of time. As soon as I applied the firmware to all my cameras, the issue was fixed. The 4K video is awesome, and the Reolink support is also very good.
It matches the current system I use.
These are great videos, the installation is easy, and although they work with cable, I highly recommend them.
