My current fleet of Foscams includes 17 units in three different locations
5/5

For Foscam, this is a new kind of camera. It has been about 10 years since I started using Foscam cameras. It is true that I have never run into any problems. Regardless of where you are located, I am beginning with the recommendation that you should get rid of your cable provider's router. In their current state, they are useless and are only able to efficiently connect four to five devices. In order to be the most efficient, any wireless device should receive about 80% wireless signal strength from the router. A mesh network is also a good idea if you have a large house. On Amazon, you can find them for just over $100, and you won't be sorry you did. Having a stable signal strength will ensure the Spotlight camera is always there when you need it. Great picture quality and very wide field of view can be found with this camera. I have my spot lights installed in the back of my carport. They detect anyone approaching my door. I have mine installed in the back of my carport. Whether the delivery person or someone else shows up at your door, you can speak with them. If you are ordering the camera and mounting base, don't forget to order some extension cables as well. The camera is very easy to setup, and I installed a 64GB SD card, which automatically records any movement. In my opinion, a camera usually comes with a 6 foot cable, but you should consider ordering additional cable or measuring the distance between your power source and your installation location. Due to Foscam's improved security and the fact they no longer use DDNS with it, Blue Iris no longer works on this camera. I think you will like this camera if you try it out. It gives me a lot of camera features for the price I pay. I've found these Foscam cameras to be useful throughout the last decade. As a result, I've been able to protect my property and my loved ones. Here is what I hope to have helped you.

This is a beautiful WiFi router with full functionality A camera with a Wi-Fi connection
5/5

With the Foscam Spotcam, you can mount the camera anywhere in the house A cable supplies DC power and connects the DC power to the Ethernet. The set-up was straightforward. I downloaded and installed the FOSCAM VMS (video management system) app and it found the new camera I had connected via Ethernet, along with my two existing Wi-Fi cameras almost immediately. In the Fi9805W). Configuring the settings and updating the firmware brought the system up to date. A 5Ghz Wi-Fi connection was then enabled A WiFi connection and an Ethernet connection have been disconnected. When VMS connected via Wi-Fi, it took less than a minute Comparing the picture quality with other cameras, I found the picture quality to be similar. The new model is better than the old model, but not significantly different from the old model. Videos are clear and vivid even in bright light, and pictures are clear and crisp. With a B&W laser, infrared can cover 40' with no problem The quality of the picture is W. Those spotlight LEDs are bright and let off light about 30 feet away from them. This motion capture camera has a feature called "human detection," which significantly lowers the number of false recordings caused by wind/rain. It does not have an antenna mount point, which limits range a bit, but this was more of an aesthetic choice. I was going to replace my 9900P with a 3rd party 9dbi antenna, but even at that size, it would not have been an ideal match. The Spotcam did not have a good enough signal to make that possible at 4Ghz. Rather than mount it next to my access point, I mounted it between two walls at about 25' and it is working fine at 5Ghz. The antenna mount is not something that most people would be concerned with. It is amazing to see the angle from which this is done. Our front door, although it appears that the camera is facing out into the yard, can still be seen even though it is almost 90 degrees to the right of the mount. Aside from the siren (which scared the **** out of me), there is a softer tone (called "camera sound" when the sensor detects movement within the building. During testing, I found it to be quite reliable I listened to it both ways and it was great. It was easy for my wife and me to communicate in real time. I appreciate that Foscam cameras are not forced to be connected to the cloud since I am a privacy advocate. Neither the internet nor my local network has access to my cameras. Recordings are sent to a local FTP server and only I have access to them. In order to use the Foscam app, I must create an account. I therefore For the purchase of this camera, Foscam provided me with a discount. As with the Spotcam I purchased, it should last the same amount of time. I give them five stars without a doubt. It was not asked of me to write the Foscam cameras are my first choice since 2014. Since 2014, I own and recommend Foscam cameras. The company provides a range of services Our cameras are built to the highest quality.

It works with Blue Iris, but not with the hardware
3/5

In my experience, other Foscam cameras work well with Blue Iris, so I do not expect this to happen. It took me quite some time to write As for the Foscam VMS software, the Web interface on this model wasn't kept so the user had to configure it via the Foscam VMS software I could not find any documentation specific to this model on the net. A second negative is that it was tricky to create user accounts, as it seems to have character requirements I kept failing. After a few attempts, I finally managed to set up a functional account. Another negative. After fiddling with a few settings in Blue Iris -- Blue Iris started but failed to function when using the rtsp prefix, for example, and I had to disconnect the camera from the network in order for Blue Iris to even work -- It's the first time I've seen something like that. This is my fourth negative. I did however manage to open a stream with VLC using RTSP Your username is Ipad address password@ipad This may be of some help if you are looking for it at 88/videoMain. Despite my efforts, I couldn't get it to work with My rating is two stars simply because it is an improvement in hardware over the previous camera that I used- There is 5GHz WiFi, 4K, a spot light that will come on, and a siren. The hardware - In terms of image quality, this is a good To me, it is nothing more than a paperweight if it won't connect. The lock on my door will not be opened- Incorporate cloud computing or video management software into the camera provider's strategy Iris can run on just about any open camera platform as well as all kinds of vintage IP cameras. Open means that some standard API has been published for the camera There are several types of video formats such as ONVIF, RTSP, Mjpg. Many camera providers want you to lock in to their software The kind where you get charged by the month and they raise the price after having a dozen of these things you've invested in, or they obsolete your cameras and force you to purchase new ones. I'm interested in hearing about your successful use of Blue Iris. Please respond with the magic words you used. My search for it did not yield any results. Returning this camera, I went to buy an older, cheaper Foscam that was like the camera I already owned.
