Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how big the capsules are?

It is estimated that they are around These tablets are about the size of a small tablet/capsule (about the size of a vitamin capsule) and are 25 inches long. It is easy for me to fit two in my underwater camera case without any trouble.

Moisture Muncher How can I reuse it?

Essentially, Moisture Muncher is a single-use product after it becomes pink, it means you need to replace it. Once it turns blue, replace it with a new one and repeat. The capsules are not reusable once they have turned pink, which indicates the capsule is fully saturated and ready to be discarded. I hope to be of further assistance if necessary. These will fit in the old Olympus PT-55 The case number with the TGF is 058 Is there room for 5 cameras?

Hard capsules are designed for Sealife Products, so I'm not sure if that's the case.

Do you know how to use this?

The housing and camera I have belong to a Sealife Underwater Camera. By mounting these moisture munchers in a camera housing, the inside of the camera will not mist The drop down to 30mtrs is great when the water is cooler and condensation tends to form on the lenses due to the variations in temperature. This has been my go-to solution for 3 years now, and it's not let down

Although the price has gone up, they are still functional
4/5

The Canon g7xII is fitted with a Fantasea house to take these photos. The fact that I can see their colors changing is nice. Usually I keep two in my case, and they last for about five months A diving trip lasting six days. Even when stored in a zip lock bag extra, after opening the rest of the packets I've had to throw them away if I were to go a long time without diving. As I began purchasing these in 2017, I was surprised to find the price had gone up so much. When I used to pay $8, it was cheaper. There is one pack for 99 cents.

The fogging is surprisingly minimal, but there are still the occasional occasions when it happens
3/5

Those worked, based on my experience. I know they changed the color of my camera housing as promised, but I was unable to entirely avoid the front glass of my housing from slightly fogging up after taking off, even though there were no leaks. In the end, I decided they served more as a "canary in the coal mine" to let me know that the camera was still safe, rather than as a measure to keep the housing dry. There were three of them, each lasting a few days This amounted to an average of 8 dives per diver in our case.

Reviewing this product is not your style
5/5

You don't really engage with it. I don't know how you'd rate this product. You never know if it will work or not. As often as possible, I load my camera in an air-conditioned room, where there is minimal I assume there was no humidity in the housing to begin with because they have little to no color change after I take them out of the housing at the end of the day. The size of my housing is 3. I use that because that is what fits. There is no sign of leakage in my opened bag from about two years ago, and the desiccant is still a rich blue color. The old ones that I lay on the camera shelf do go pink over night, so I know they work since I replace them every two days.

Excellent product, but the entire bag can go to waste
4/5

Though it is fantastic and works, the bag can go to waste. Taking one capsule to the ends of the earth is enough! In spite of this, the whole bag of capsules is likely to be wasted in one use, since the capsules are not individually packaged like the sample that comes with the Sealife SportDiver. In early January I purchased this product for a Key West trip, and I am satisfied with its performance The bag was pink when I went back to use it later in May to go on a Hawaii trip, as the entire bag had absorbed moisture due to being unsealed. It was a good thing I had sample, since I used it.
At the moment, I'm on the hunt for capsules that come in individually packaged.

Fog and flooding should be kept at a minimum in the camera enclosure
5/5

There are two camera enclosures in which I have these, one for a point and shoot camera my son uses, the other for my Nikon D50. It used to fog up when I opened the enclosure to replace a memory card or battery on the boat or on the beach at the end of the day, especially on my second or third dive of the day. That's so frustrating! My previous experience with silica gel packs that you find in random equipment led me to stop using them when I read that they can lead to enclosure You will ruin thousands of dollars of equipment in the event of a tiny gap between the package base and the mating surface, and your future photos will be ruined too (soggy toast, probably). My silica gel pack is free, and I don't want to have to spend money on a camera and lens, plus I don't want to buy a rental outfit for the rest of the trip because the pack costs me money! I have put a small piece of my heart into this piece of artwork Place the adhesive velcro on the back of each of the tubes in the pack, and put the complementary patch of velcro on the back of each enclosure. The gasket is located in a location where there can be no interference with its function, so flooding is not a concern. Since then, there has never been a problem with fogging. Referring to reusability, here are some suggestions Upon examination of the label, it appears that the ingredients of the gel are "Indicator Silica Gel". I think this is excellent. There must be a way to generate heat that won't melt the capsule plastic in nearly every resort, condo, and rental apartment in the world. You need your coffee maker to make great coffee! By the next morning, the pink capsules are all dark blue again and ready to go because I placed them on a ceramic plate placed on the coffee maker's warming plate overnight! I hope you all stay dry out there.

The underwater photographer must possess this skill
5/5

I've been a professional photographer for a long time, but I'm a beginner when it comes to underwater photography. My first underwater DSLR rig was finally purchased after I became SCUBA certified, researched cameras and techniques, and bought my first underwater SCUBA A test dive that failed completely was my first attempt. After about two minutes, my lens became fogged up and I was unable to capture any pictures. I was helped by a photographer who suggested I purchase them as I was setting up the test shoot. After my first test dive, I ordered a pack and used a capsule. It was a great success! Neither inside the case nor on the outside has there been a trace of moisture. Since then, I have used them on two more dives and they have not fogged up. Even at $1 a dive, the first dive is well worth it since we spend so much on other diving equipment.

I am very pleased with this software! The previous order was a re-order for me as I have been using these for years
5/5

This is a must-have for your underwater camera housing whether you dive in fresh or salt water! The Sealife moisture munchers are an essential part of my diving equipment! You have to do it! It is no longer necessary to guess what moisture color means. Other than the Sealife moisture munchers, I've used 2 other types of desiccant packs that have not worked as well. Throughout my underwater housing, I have never experienced fog or moisture problems. The next time I order is going to be awesome!.

As advertised, arrived in good condition
5/5

I am pleased with the product, which arrived on time and met my expectations. We have not yet had a chance to use the product. Unless the product is factory sealed, I see no reason why it would fail.
