Can this camera be used with snorkeling filters?

Are you unfamiliar with the term "snorkeling filters"? Underwater, the camera performs admirably! It was just returned from a snorkeling trip with it. We went with the "underwater" photography mode.

Is there a charger for the battery pack that comes with this camera?

Yes, there is a cable that connects to the phone and charges the battery inside the camera while it is in use. br>I was pleased with my Amazon purchase of a separate charger and two spare batteries. br>It's simple to locate. It's always nice to have a backup battery on hand.

What is the focal length equivalent in 35mm for this camera? Thanks?

28 - 140mm as a comparison

Is there an HDMI cable included, and if not, where can I get one?

Yes, it is.

Selected User Reviews For Fujifilm FinePix XP140 Waterproof Digital Camera w/16GB SD Card - Sky Blue

I had hoped for something better, but it turned out to be fantastic
5/5

First and foremost, I must express my gratitude. I can't be too harsh on the product because of the price; I knew it wouldn't blow me away for the price, and my Note 8 produces far better images. br>br>The main reason I bought this camera was to use it on my kayak. There's nothing more terrifying than carrying my pro DSLR and lenses on a kayak, but those days are gone, and I no longer have to worry about water splashing my camera. While kayaking, I'm not looking for high-resolution images; instead, I'm looking for good snapshots that I can take without having to worry about getting my camera wet. The XP140 is ideal in this situation. br>br>I'll just get right to the point of this review and talk about what I like best about this camera. br>For starters, there are 20 different shooting modes to choose from. That's correct, 20! SR Auto (Scene Recognition) is my favorite because I don't want to dig through the menus and just grab my camera and shoot. br>One of the shooting modes is "ADVANCED FILTER," which allows you to manually select from 17 additional custom filters such as fisheye, high key, toy camera, and more. Self-timers, timelapse modes, movie modes, and wireless communication with your phone via the Fuji app are all available. You can change the iso setting and switch between auto and manual focus. br>This camera has a lot of features, and I've been a photographer for a long time, so I'm pretty familiar with how cameras work. However, if you're new to cameras, I recommend reading the manual to get a better understanding of what this camera can do. br>The battery life is fantastic; with average use and turning it off when not shooting, I can shoot stills for 3 to 4 days on a single charge. Extreme temperatures, as well as video, will drastically reduce battery life. br>br>The flaws I didn't expect from a camera at this price. br>First and foremost, image quality can be extremely good or extremely poor. It can handle bright light just as well as a less expensive phone. This camera takes better pictures than my Galaxy Note 8. But I didn't buy it for bragging rights; I bought it to document my kayaking adventures and memories with friends on the water. And it succeeds admirably in doing so. I like to transfer the images to my phone and edit them with Snapseed before posting them online. br>The second is video; the 4K is useless at 15 frames per second, but the 1080p 60 is excellent and what I use. br>The microphone quality is terrible; it's like the older GoPro cameras in the waterproof cases; you have to yell at the camera to get it to pick up anything. As long as the water is clear or you're close to the surface on a sunny day, the underwater video is excellent. br>There is also no lens cap; the lens has a protective clear lens over it, but there is no way to repair it if it gets scratched. br>It's attractive, light weight, relatively simple to use, extremely durable, and water resistant! br>br>Overall, I am very happy with this camera, and I give it a five-star rating. For the price, it's hard to beat, but I think some of the features, particularly the microphones, could have been done a little better, and the 4K 15 is completely unnecessary. br>I also bought a floaty hand strap for it in case I dropped it, and it does a good job of floating the camera. br>br>(The included images have been post-processed for online sharing, including color and exposure correction, as well as sharpening. ) I wasn't planning on doing a review at the time I took these, so I didn't keep the originals. However, it demonstrates what this camera is capable of. All of the photos in this gallery were taken on my first outing with the XP140, which I really like!.

Disappointed and dissatisfied to the point of being extremely disappointed
3/5

The item did not last more than 24 hours before failing. br>I have an older model of the same camera that I adore. The item was not properly wrapped for being "new," and the barcode had an odd yellow sticker on it. Regardless, I gave it a shot. I should've been more careful. Charging the battery took all night. br>Because I have an older model, I am aware of proper battery cover closing practices. I spent ten minutes in the water. Before submerging the camera, I took a few pictures. When trying to focus, it had an odd slow delay that was out of the ordinary. After recovering the camera from a depth of about twelve inches in the lake. The back screen, as well as the front camera lens, began to fill with fog. I was extremely dissatisfied. br>I got out of the water to look at the camera. During that time, the fog turned to moisture, and the screen and camera lens were filled with water. br>This camera does not have a brand new feel to it. I paid full price for a brand new camera and received it quickly. The item that was delivered had to be a refurbished piece of garbage. Disappointed and dissatisfied to the point of exasperation.

This is extremely disappointing
3/5

The image quality is inferior to that of a cell phone camera. The only positive aspect is the water resistance. I've been shooting with a Fuji X-T1 for a while now. For several years, I've been working with system cameras and lenses. I was hoping that the XP140 would capture some of the X vibe in a "tough" camera that I could bring on a snorkeling trip. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations, and I am unable to recommend this camera to anyone concerned with image quality. br>br>The image quality is barely acceptable at wide angles in good light, but quickly degrades when zoomed in. Indoors, even with the flash, it's a no-no. Highlights easily blow out due to the low dynamic range. Jpeg compression is quite noticeable on the Fine setting. In addition, auto- Even with specific points set, focus missed about a third of the shots. br>br>It's hard to believe this is a 2019 camera with 16 megapixels - The image quality is inferior to that of a 3MP camera I used 18 years ago. It's a shame it doesn't support shooting in RAW format, because images taken with this camera require a lot of post-processing to look even halfway decent. br>br>What are the advantages? It's small and water-resistant, and it's certainly better than nothing. I caught a few keepers both in and out of the water, and I plan to use this camera again next year on a Caribbean trip. However, I do not enjoy it and would not recommend it to others.

Is it really better than the iPhone? When I don't want to use the X-Pro, I use the XP140 instead
4/5

E3/T3 or iPhone XS (edit: iPhone XS) 11 pro is now available. In comparison to a phone, it's inexpensive enough that I wouldn't mind dropping it in a lake. br>br>I was interested to see how the XP140 compares to the iPhone in terms of image quality. I'd say they're similar, with the iPhone having a slight advantage. There's a little more noise on the XP140, but it's difficult to tell. Before the XP140 settles on exposure, there appears to be a lag. Out-of-the-box thinking appeals to me. The color of the camera is better than the XP140. iPhones have extra cameras that can help with HDR, as well as some software wizardry that makes it easier to take better photos with less knowledge. The XP140 is a good example of this. br>br>If you have specific use cases for it, I believe it is a good value at $160. One- It's easier to use than a phone in one hand, which can be useful when kayaking or doing other outdoor activities. br>br>I rate it a four out of five. Given its low price and awareness of the limitations of a 1/2, it earns five stars. Sensor size is 3". If you don't require ruggedness, it's a 2 or 3 star camera. br>br>The Olympus Tough TG-S is a rugged camera designed for outdoor use. The 6, which has a better lens and image quality but costs twice as much, is a more rugged system with a better lens and image quality. I wouldn't mind dropping this one in a lake, so the XP140 is a better fit for me. I'd use my mirrorless cameras if I wanted higher-quality photos. As a result, TG- 6 is too small for my requirements. TH- If you're looking for a rugged camera that doesn't skimp on image quality and are willing to pay a premium for it, the 6 makes sense. If you want the best image quality for outdoor snapshots, this is the wrong camera. If you're looking for professional-quality photos, this isn't the camera for you. obtain an APS-certified photographer C or something like that. If you're doing something where a non-professional camera isn't appropriate, you'll need the right camera. I'm not willing to spend $300 on a rugged camera that may be destroyed.
