For the tripod(s) it is meant for, a must have! There is one tripod I own that has legs that move all over the place, which is fine for a lot of situations outdoors, but indoors it's a problem, the legs slide along the flooring, and the studs can actually scratch the surface. You can enter these spreaders here. I didn't enter it precisely, due to the fact that my tripod came with it, but I lost them and had to purchase this separately. Do you think it's worth 91 dollars? Yes not, but that's Manfrotto, and this is my hobby nothing's cheap, even when.
Manfrotto always makes great products, and this one is another great five-star product from Manfrotto.
I couldn't tell whether this was real leather or not, but it seems to be okay for the price.
While the ad said that it worked for tripods with spike legs, according to the picture, it only fit manfrotto tripods.
I thought it was well made, and although it is plastic, I felt that it would hold up over time despite the fact that it is heavy. Time will tell, I guess.
It has been several years since I purchased these. Although they have been subjected to rigorous treatment, the pieces still hold up.
The investment is well worth it. I was able to save my old tripod and am virtually in possession of a new one now.
