Questions & Answers

A tripod has a diameter of X. How big is it?

There is no difference in diameter between the leg tubes. A 72 to a 0 ratio. One and one are 85 and one. It is 14 inches long.

The series 2 tripod is sturdy enough to stabilize my Nikon P1000 at 3000mm, is that right?

The only use for this tripod is when I travel since it weighs less than 2 pounds. I can hang a heavy weight from the tripod hook of my Induro GIT304L and it functions perfectly for my astrophotography rig, but it is only 5 pounds lighter than my Induro GIT304L. The GT2545T is much too short for me to continue using it except when traveling. I am 6'0" tall. If you use a shutter release in conjunction with the camera you are using, I think you will be fine.

This has a screw plate that is 3/8" in ?

There are two types of head mounts 1/4"- and 3/4"- The screw size is 20 x 3/8" Screw 16 is a metric screw.

Is this tripod compatible with any of the counterweight hooks?

My search for the correct hook for the GT2545T was time consuming, but I located it on gitzzospares in the end. gitzo s pares Please visit http//www.d104214.com/ I did, however, notice that it has now been made available on the internet Few ebay sellers sell on the bay. What is 202412566543? Chinese = PS. If you wish to use carbon-exact tubing, you must purchase the hook compatible with carbon exact rather than carbon 6x. The above information is provided in the hope it will be It took me a while to find the website where I purchased the hook, so I apologize for the late reply.

Selected User Reviews For Gitzo Lightweight Traveler Series 2 Carbon Fiber Tripod, Silver & Black (GT2545TUS)

It's a definite pleasure to own a Gitzo tripod! A brand and products that have been around for such a long time With a history of more than 100 years, Gitzo has established itself as a brand name in the business
5/5

There are few brands that can boast such longevity, which proves that the products they make consistently are of high quality. While they have made mistakes and produced a lemon here and there, Gitzo has proven to be a dependable and quality brand of tripods and heads that has lasted. Of course, I wouldn't use their bags, but the quality of their tripods should never be questioned. My first two models were a Series 1 Mountaineer and a Series 1 GT1555 Traveler. In order to move to medium format, I had to dispose of these tripods, which were replaced by a Series 3 GT3542LS Systematic with a Series 3 ball head for the studio and a Series 3 GT3542 Mountaineer for the outdoor work. In spite of the two tripods, I know there will be times when the ultra-light will not suffice A compact Traveler is perfect for me, which is why I selected the GT2545T Traveler from Series 2. Despite being the thinnest case I'd want to use in conjunction with the GFX 50S, it proved to be more durable than I As a result of this new slim design, the tripod can be folded up inverted as thin as the design allows, without sacrificing a separate friction control knob. This tripod is compatible with the Gitzo GH1382TQD Traveler ball head. While the Gitzo line includes a shorty center column for getting low, I would prefer a more elegant solution like what's used in It is also lacking a center column hook, for which I substituted a hole in the spider, however I added a hook anyway for more versatility and to ensure any ballast used is centered correctly. * Last but not least, this is the only size Traveler with standard 3/8"-wide flanges It features 16 threaded feet that can be customized with claws or spikes for different terrains. Both of these features were omitted by Gitzo. The Leofoto titanium rock claws are a good choice, for that reason. A tripod that is lightweight and compact offers the same effectiveness as a stainless steel tripod, but without any additional weight. The price may give you pause if you are looking for a travel tripod that will last a lifetime, but once you realize the benefit of storing your photo equipment there, the price won't bother you The stick on the camera is $50, despite the camera being worth thousands of dollars. How important is it to be able to use your expensive camera you spent a lot of money on?.

I am in awe of this My 30-year-old one was broken and this was the perfect replacement A very heavy Bogen (Manfrotto) bit the dust 12 years ago
5/5

I was amazed at how light and strong it was compared to that. No 4's in my life There is nothing as sturdily built and with ease as a section tripod, and the twist locks can be easily used and locked in place with only a slight twist. Yes, I could have paid half the price for a lesser tripod, but this is well made and designed. There's a neat feature where you can reverse the legs (fold upwards) to make it smaller to carry. You have to not use the head or use a small one to do this, though. There is a 30-day trial period for me The Gitzo ball head I have is about 2 years old. I may replace it with a smaller ball head that's Arca-compatible Embracing Swiss quality. In addition to the Gitzo Mountaineer tripod, I was also advised to get the larger and more sturdy one, but this is still a reasonably priced tripod. In favor of my Fuji X100V, instead of my DSLR (D750) [too heavy] and medium format (RB67) I am using a Fuji X100V that is very small, resembles a toy camera, and seems overkill for this tripod. In fact, it is the opposite In order to take sharp photos, you'll need a I must mention that when the tripod arrived, there was a manufacturing defect, and it wasn't working properly There was a problem with one of the legs, so I returned the item and purchased it at a local camera shop for the same amount. I don't think Amazon is to be blamed for that, because it wasn't their fault. The problem may have been caused by a factory malfunction. It is my firm belief that my Gitzo 2545 will last for decades to come.

The price is high and the quality is excellent
5/5

While it is an expensive tripod, it provides 2 times the stability as a cheaper tripod. This tripod is unmatched and unmatched by any other that I have come across. In addition to this tripod I also use a Half-Dome Using the Hitch Astronomical mount, I can hold 92mm and 65mm refractors (at high powers) even at 225x and it is sturdy enough for that. 1 hour is the time set aside for settling Considering how lightweight this setup is, this is an impressive range of 2 seconds. It had been my intent to use a smaller traveler series 0 It was stable enough to be used with this configuration, but it couldn't be used with 5"). In addition to its large tubes, the series 2 tripod is also the most stable among all of the traveler tripods.
