Questions & Answers

When folded, how long does it measure?

With my RRS BH-100, I'm ready to take on the world. On the top, there's a 30 ball head, and on the bottom, there's 5”. Without a ball head or with a reversed ball head, 19. 25”. This tripod, which weighs around 3 pounds, is extremely light and strong. It is ideal for travel. With the ball head reversed, it easily fits into my carry-on suitcase. It's tough enough to take tack-sharp long exposure photos with the Nikon d750 and Nikon 70-200mm lens. A lens with a focal length of 200mm and an aperture of f/4!

Is it possible to use a simple ballhead, such as a Joby 5K, with this?

Yes. The ball head has a standard 1/4" screw mount, so it should fit on this tripod, according to the Amazon description.

Will it fit a Canon 7D Mark II camera as well as a 150-pound tripod? Sigma sports lens with a focal length of 600mm?

Hello,br>The Canon 7D Mark II is approximately 2. 2 lbs. br>The Sigma Sports lens is approximately 5 pounds in weight. This tripod can support up to 22 pounds.

The Best Traveling Tripod on the Market
5/5

For air travel and long hikes, I was initially drawn to another Gitzo Traveler tripod, the GT1555T. When folded, it's less than 14" long, and it's incredibly light while still being strong enough to carry my belongings. However, the fact that it is a 5-star hotel Even at full height, the section legs did not reach my eye level (I'm 5' 8") without fully pulling out the center column, which bothered me. The center column should only be used when specific circumstances necessitate it, not as a general rule, as it loses the necessary rigidity. So, despite the fact that short folded length is one of my top criteria for choosing a tripod for travel, I decided to make a compromise and go with the GT1545T Traveler instead. The fact that it's 4-dimensional appeals to me greatly. I can now use the tripod at full height without having to rely on the tripod's center column. It's a lot more rigid than its GT1555T cousin, but it's only two times the price. Folded, the length is 7" longer. It's definitely small enough to fit into my smaller carry-on bag. It fits in my bag and my smaller hiking backpack, and it's just as light as the GT1555T. It's also $100 less expensive than the GT1555T! br>br>I chose to buy the tripod separately rather than as part of a kit because I'd heard a lot of complaints about the Gitzo ballhead that comes with the kit. I also wanted a lever clamp rather than a knob clamp, so I paired the tripod with the RRS BH-100 lever clamp. When I reverse folded it, I wasn't sure how it would work. I simply followed my instincts. As a result, there was a fantastic mix. Although I believe the Gitzo ballhead is more attractive and aesthetically pleasing, as well as being designed for a perfect fit when reverse folded, I believe the BH-100 is a better option. 30 isn't a bad age, either. It's simple but sturdy enough to hold my heaviest camera and lens, a Canon 5DIII with a ProMediaGear L-Series lens. Bracket, as well as the Sigma 150- Although I'll be using this tripod with a Canon 16-35mm lens during my travels, I'll be using a 600C. 35 f/4. The images I've attached demonstrate how BH- When reverse folded, the number 30 looks great.

There isn't enough resistance
3/5

This tripod has so many features that I adore. It's small and lightweight, and it folds up into a carry-on size for small planes. It absorbs a lot of vibrations and is simple to extend and collapse. Unfortunately, after only a few weeks of light use, it broke. It was repaired under warranty and returned after a little more than a month. If you buy it, I recommend holding on to the leg while twisting to extend and contract the legs to avoid breaking the connector. As a result, some parts of the tripod are rated 5 stars while others are rated 1 star.

I'm glad I didn't buy it - It's of poor quality and unreliable
3/5

Updated Comments: July 20, 2021br>I've had this tripod for three years and it's completely useless. Only for iPhone videos do I use it now. With a Canon 5D Mark 4, the legs are always loose and will not support a ballhead. lens with a large field of view It's been fixed a few times, but it's still unreliable. I wish I hadn't bought this product. br>br>Comments October 2019br>I've been using this tripod for about two months. The nuts and bolts When the spider assembly is in use, the washers that attach to it constantly come loose and fall off. The legs are extremely wobbly and flapping around. This tripod is prone to tipping over. To keep the bolts and washers in place, I have to use gaffer tape. Gitzo took three weeks to respond to my emails and replacement request. They sent me a two-sentence email requesting that I send the tripod to a third-party vendor, and they refused to pay for shipping or insurance. When I get this tripod back, I'm not sure. Gitzo's product is only covered for 6 months, according to my research. Given the product's poor quality, they should warranty it for life; I own four other Gitzo tripods, but this is the last time I will ever purchase one of their products.

This is the best tripod I've ever seen
5/5

But it's not light. Passes the test of time on the road. During an epic New Zealand trip, I was able to do everything from landscape photography to night astrophotography. When you buy on the cheap, you end up buying twice (or more). Do yourself a favor and go ahead and get Gitzo first.

GT1545TUS: Gitzo GT1545TUS: Gitzo GT1545TUS: G Travel Tripod of Superior Quality It is both light and sturdy
5/5

This tripod is fantastic for travel. It was a perfect fit for my international-themed room. a carry-on suitcase that is the right size for you. I've added a BH- from Really Right Stuff to the mix. 30 sphere head; The combined weight of the tripod and ball head is: 4 lbs! This is a fantastic mix. That's half the weight of my Gitzo GT2541EX with RRS BH-100. br>With my Nikon d850 and Nikon 70-200mm lens, the GT1545TUS was extremely stable. Lens with a focal length of 200mm and a maximum aperture of f/4. br>Some people claim that the feet are prone to falling off. There were no issues after I added rubber hose washers. Others expressed dissatisfaction with having to purchase a center column hook (to hang their bag for added stability). I agree that it should come with one, but it's a no-brainer to pay $30 for more stability. Finally, I'm 5'7" and don't have to bend my back to shoot because I don't have to raise the center column. br>The most important piece of photography equipment, after lenses and cameras, is a tripod. This Gitzo is well worth the money!.

This tripod, which I bought in December of this year, is falling apart
3/5

After jostling around the trunk of a vehicle while traveling in Africa in February 2020, two of the leg sections splintered in half. I sent it in for warranty repair, and the repaired legs arrived a few months later (possibly due to COVID's delay). After less than a month of use following the repair, some play developed where the carbon fiber center column meets the black collar (which is the interface to the head). The play had progressed to the point where the tripod was no longer usable, so I contacted customer service, who suggested sending it back in for repair, but I explained that I needed a solution sooner than a few months without a tripod, so they sent me a new center column free of charge. Tomorrow will be the first time I use the new column - Let's hope this one stands the test of time. Meanwhile, three of the rubber grips that tighten and loosen the leg sections have come loose, exposing the metal connectors beneath. I can still tighten and loosen the legs, but it's a lot more difficult without the rubber grips. I'm amazed at how fragile this thing is. I would have returned it, but I'm past the return window and thus stuck with it. If there is one more issue, it will be sent out for repair and resale at a low cost; in any case, this will be my first and last Gitzo tripod purchase, and I will most likely spend the money on a Really Right Stuff pod.
