I knew a teleprompter was the answer, but the cheapest option was $200, and they were large, which was almost a non-starter for someone who does a lot of outdoor recording. starter. br>br>I came across an old Kickstarter campaign for this device and decided to give it a shot after reading a few reviews. After just one use, I was convinced that this was a fantastic invention that was well worth the money I spent. br>br>The package includes a plastic frame with reflective glass, a Bluetooth remote for controlling the app, and a complete set of screw-in accessories. When the device was first released, you had to buy adapters separately. You attach your phone to the bottom with the spring plate and use the remote to control the text in the free app by screwing the appropriate adapter onto your lens, sliding the cover onto the adapter, and then affixing your phone to the bottom with the spring plate. The app is simple to use, and thanks to Dropbox integration, you can write scripts and use them without having to worry about file transfers. br>br>Only two minor quibbles are worth mentioning: (1) The spring plate that clamps the phone doesn't have a handhold, so you have to grab the entire plate while trying to attach the phone at the same time, which can be awkward with an iPhone X in an Otterbox, and I'm afraid the plastic will break. (2) Be aware of your lens' zoom settings, as if you go too wide (less than 24mm), your video may catch the frame's edges. With my 18-year-old daughter, I became aware of this. I'm guessing some wide-angle primes and zoom lenses will have the same problem as the 55mm kit lens. Simply double-check it before shooting a take, and you'll be fine.
It's ideal for use with a teleprompter. For the iPhone, a good and sturdy teleprompter is required. br>It is very small and portable, and it is very easy to handle. It does not require any special skills to operate. br>The compatible software works fine, and you can sync your files with Dropbox. It also supports multiple languages. There is no advertisement, and the settings are simple to change. br>remote controller: some extra buttons I don't need; buttons are a little hard to press; I've accidentally pressed the wrong buttons on occasion. However, it functions and is preferable to doing nothing. It's a bit pricey, but the quality appears to be better than others I've seen. I believe the price is justified as long as it gets the job done.
This compact prompter had a lot of potential for me. A small prompter that screws onto the front of your lens threads is a brilliant concept. Your smartphone serves as an inverted text display that reflects off the glass. The issue is that you will see the product crop into the image unless you use a longer lens. It also won't fit cine lenses or anything larger than 78mm. br>br>I was really looking forward to receiving this product, but I will have to return it. I believe it would be fantastic if they simply made it 2 inches larger on all sides.
I spent three decades as a television news anchorman, so I read a lot of scripts on the teleprompter. I'm now doing all of my own YouTube segments. I deluded myself into believing that I could "memorize" or improvise my script. However, there are times when you need to deal with complicated ideas, facts, figures, and data. This tiny prompter slips over my Panasonic Lumix G-series camera with ease. 4 with an Olympus lens with a wide field of view. br>br>Easy to put together and use. I'm starting to resemble a true news anchor. Only regret is that I put off purchasing this item for so long. br>For more information, please visit my YouTube channel: look for the following: Viewing cryptography.
It's the only thing that'll work for what I'm doing with it, but it's not worth the price they're asking. It feels more like a $40 piece of equipment than a $140 piece of equipment, but I believe $80 is a reasonable price.
I've only recently begun to use my Parrot Teleprompter, so some of my issues may fade as I become more accustomed to it. br>br>On the plus side, it's simple to put together and comes with clear instructions. It performs almost exactly as expected. The device, as an added bonus, is said to work with cameras with filter diameters of up to 1. 25 inches, according to the description. There was a 49mm adapter, but there was also a 37mm adapter, which I could use with an older camcorder. The remote control, on the other hand, is completely useless. br>br> It connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth without a hitch, but it was never fully functional. For example, pressing the "play" button (which is supposed to activate the script you're currently running) activated my iTunes library rather than the script. That happened several times before I gave up trying to solve the issue. Unfortunately, because I didn't have access to a remote, I had to rely on the phone app, which is rudimentary and inconvenient to use while taping. In the end, it works. br>br> I'm going to put it to good use. I'd say it was a good buy if I could just get the remote to work properly. For the time being, I'll call it "good" and hope that the issues will be resolved.
I already have a teleprompter setup that I've been using for a few years, so I was skeptical when I saw this product mentioned in a YouTube video. I decided to take a chance on this, and wow, am I glad I did. It is everything they claim it to be, and then some. Its main selling point is how simple it is to use. I've got my camera (Panasonic Lumix FZ-1) with me. 300) tripod mounted with no balancing or tipping issues. I prefer not to wear my glasses while working on video (glare, etc. ) and was concerned that a small unit like this would have to be so close that viewers would notice I was reading. It turns out that it isn't a problem at all. br>br>This item arrived on time and in good condition. It's a great buy and a high-quality product at this price point; I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to others.
