Questions & Answers
Yes, it does the trick.
Hello, please see the video in the description for instructions on how to use.
Hello, it works with both mobile phones and tablets (within 10. 5 inches tall).
For your smartphone or tablet, you'll need a tripod mount. Because the black hood you see here is designed to fit over a camera lens, you'll have to make something similar. Another issue you may encounter is that the camera on those devices is positioned in the corner rather than in the center, as it is on a camera. As a result, positioning the device's camera so that the teleprompter frame's edges aren't visible may be a challenge.

br>br>With this teleprompter, memorizing scripts and dealing with multiple takes are no longer necessary. br>br>It was simple to set up and works with either a phone or a tablet. The teleprompter portion is done on an iPhone 11 and an iPad Air. Both are excellent, and the scripts are perfectly reflected on the glass teleprompter screen. It even includes a cool Bluetooth controller for starting and stopping the GVM teleprompter app. br>br> br>br>It has mounts for using a phone or camera for recording. I've tried recording with both my iPhone 11 and my Sony a6600, and they both work perfectly. br>br>Get one of these if you want to save time while improving the quality of your scripted videos, YouTube videos, and so on. It saves a significant amount of time.
The teleprompter works well, but it's a little too heavy for my Canon EOS RP and tripod. br>However, the most serious issue arises after three years. The remote control has stopped working after 5 days of use. br>Reinstall the app, unpair and re-pair the remote shutter, try connecting different devices (iPad Pro, iPhone 11, 12 pro) and nothing happens.
All that is required is a case. Overall, this Teleprompter is a great Teleprompter for the money; it's built like a tank and has enough adjustability for a variety of camera setups; the only thing missing appears to be a case. br>br>I bought this for one of my clients, and it makes everything a lot easier to read without sacrificing video quality.
Interviews, vlogging, and reviews are all possible with this product. Anything that requires you to read a lot of dialogue or go over an outline while keeping your gaze on the camera. It works perfectly! Also excellent is the app.
But it does the job; I wish I could control the speed with the remote, but hey, I didn't spend a lot of money on it!.
After using this product, my video became more engaging and I was able to keep my audience's attention.
Updated on December 11th, 21st: The issue with the scrolling stopping automatically after one minute was resolved after GVM released an update to the app. The remote control also stopped working after a week of using the teleprompter. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, as well as unpaired and repaired the remote, but it still doesn't work. br>br>I gave the teleprompter a five-star rating based on the following criteria: 1. br>br> At one minute and nineteen seconds, the scrolling text comes to a complete stop. I'm thinking about switching to a better app.
2. According to the website's instructions, the keyfob remote has stop, play, pause, and speed control functions. This is simply not true. I can only use the remote to start and stop.
3. The hood and mirror unit does not fasten tightly and wobbles when attached to the main bar. If you're not transporting the unit and it stays on the tripod, it's not a big deal.
4. The iPad clamp is extremely tight, causing your fingers to become pinched. To prevent it from being bumped and falling, I place the iPad loosely on top of the clamp when no one else is in the room. br>br>I contacted support and have yet to receive a response from the manufacturer. As a result, customer service is ineffective. I'm debating whether to keep this unit and get a better remote control app, or to return it and get a better unit.
I was taken aback when I learned that this product is supposed to wobble and be unstable. I've previously purchased GVM products, and they've all been well-made and I've been very pleased with them. When I contacted the company about the wobble caused by the mirror not being securely attached, I was told that this is how things are done. I'll either look for another solution or use a pair of washers to correct the wobble. This one incident will not deter me from buying GVM products in the future; I bought this product because it was a GVM, so I'm satisfied with the brand overall. I hope they fix this problem; it's not something I'm willing to put up with.
