Yes, or it does with my webcam, at least. My webcam has a hole in the bottom where a screw can be inserted, which I use to secure it to the teleprompter. It should work fine if your webcam has a place where you can screw in the tripod's holding screw.
Yes, it is effective.
Elegant Teleprompter is, in my opinion, the best telprompter for most Android and iOS devices, especially with the ability to use a gamepad as a remote.
Dear Client: The threaded holes on this teleprompter base are 1/4" and 3/8" in diameter, respectively, to accommodate the tripod screws. Almost every tripod on the market will fit in this case. Of course, I recommend that you select a tripod with excellent stability.

This teleprompter and the Caddie Buddy were on my shortlist when I was looking for one. Because I had decided to purchase a 14-inch monitor, I assumed that the larger beam-width would be beneficial. It would be necessary to use a splitter for this unit. br>br>One advantage the Caddie Buddy has over this unit is that the camera mount on the Caddie Buddy can be adjusted in height. This teleprompter assumes that the camera is mounted to the platform, which I found to be too low for my liking. The camera can be raised with a bracket, but it's designed for webcams and is a little flimsy for my Panasonic Lumix camera. I had to wedge a block of wood between the bracket and the wall. Another problem with this camera is that the way the light hood interacts with it makes it difficult to adjust the camera. To reach the lens adjustments, as well as turn the camera on and off, I have to move the light hood. Frequently, the lens is obscured by the hood's cloth. After you've adjusted the camera, it can be a little tricky to get it out of the field of view. br>br>I'd like to be able to change the height of the beam- With the 14" monitor I'm using, which is thicker than a tablet, a splitter or tablet support would be preferable. However, this appears to be working satisfactorily. In general, I'm pleased.
This is a lovely mirror setup, but one thing to keep in mind is that the lens must be centered in the prompter glass. If you simply screw a DLSR into the main plate, it will sit too low, giving the impression that your talent is looking above the camera. The included support for raising the camera is made of very flimsy plastic that can barely hold a DSLR. It will function, but it will bend, requiring you to compensate by tilting the prompter. You'll need something like a plate riser to safely lift the camera, and then it'll be a 5/5.
It's very practical, comprehensive, and simple to use.
