11/4/20 UPDATE: I've been getting notices on the frame for about a week now: frameo has ceased to function; please wait or continue. As a result, I'm at a loss for ideas. Overall, it's a good frame, but it's extremely buggy. My biggest gripe is that when you add photos to a frame, it assigns the date you added the photo to the frame, not the date the photo was taken. As a result, if you add photos from 10 years ago after you've already added photos from 10 years ago and the frame is set to show by date, your photos will be out of order. I was able to put them in chronological order using this frame, which I replaced with a much cheaper one. ***UPDATE****

***UP I upgraded my rating to a five-star rating because I adore the frame!
. review from the start br>Overall, it's a fantastic frame; I'll give it four stars rather than five. The size is fantastic, as is the clarity. It's very simple to set up, it's a touch screen, so it's easy to manipulate, and each picture can be adjusted to 'fit frame' or 'fill frame. ' I went through all 817 of my photos in a short amount of time and made the adjustments I wanted. The sleep timer does not work as it should, which is why I gave it four stars. The time zone is correct, the time of day is correct, and the sleep timer is set to put the frame to sleep at 10pm and wake it up at 7am, as shown in the accompanying images. It goes to sleep normally, but has not woken up for three days in a row. Customer service's standard response was to double-check your time zone and sleep timer settings to ensure you're on the right track, which I had already done and informed them of in my email inquiry. Regardless, this was their response. They said the same thing to someone else in a product question on Amazon, so it's clearly a known problem. They also advised that the frame be'reset. ' No thanks; I just installed everything from scratch three days ago; what good will a reset do? The sleep timer isn't a big deal for me because I can simply press the power button to turn it back on in the morning, but that's not the point! If a sleep timer is a must-have feature for you, skip this one.
To be honest, I had never used or owned one of these wifi photo frames before. br>This was my first purchase, and I had no idea how it would work or how easy or difficult it would be to set up. Actually, I was a little worried about setting everything up, connecting my phone, and connecting to the internet. etc. br>br>I have a mother who is a resident of a nursing facility. She is 84 years old, but due to a recent diagnosis of liver cancer, she is unable to live alone. In any case, I wanted to give her all of her family photos, as well as those of her son, grandchildren, and best friends. So, this wifi photo frame was the best option. br>br>The unit comes with clear instructions, which at first glance appeared to be a little "lost," but were surprisingly simple to follow. I was guided through the process step-by-step by screen guidance and website information. step. I was able to quickly upload about 200 photos from my phone for viewing on the device after only a few minutes. The 7" screen was ideal, and it comes with 16 GB of built-in storage, allowing me to store thousands of photos. Not only can I upload photos from my phone, but I can also invite any of my friends to do the same, which was extremely convenient and ideal for what I was trying to do for my mother. br>Moreover, the screen is touch-sensitive, allowing you to navigate, reset, change, and modify your settings. whatever else you want to do with the touch screen It's amazing how far technology has progressed since this wifi photo frame was first introduced. br>br>I'd like to do this for my mother, but it could be a great gift for everyone in the family at Christmas or on their birthdays. It is a fantastic device for people to be able to see those they love on a daily basis as well as remind themselves of the many wonderful experiences they have had in life. br>br>I would highly recommend this as a gift to yourself and those you care about.
Update: Customer service got in touch with me and fixed the problem. I commend them on their efforts. This is something that only a few people do. br>br>I really want to give this digital frame five stars, but there are three things that are preventing me from doing so. There is no security built into the frame at all. What? To access settings, delete photos, load pictures, and so on, there is no need for a password. I keep mine at work, and if you have physical access to it, you can do whatever you want. I work in IT security, and this is ridiculous. It runs Android, so it's not due to the operating system's limitations. Come on, guys, put a stop to it! You can make the password optional, but at the very least provide us with the option to create one! The app is simple to operate and sends photos to the frame. However, I anticipated being able to manage the photos in the frame. You won't be able to delete, hide, or anything else. You have no other options but to send the pictures. The frame does not pick up the date the photo was actually taken, as others have pointed out. It makes use of the time it was added. This serves no purpose. In fact, I disabled the caption entirely as a result of this. br>br>I'd give this frame a 5 if issues 1 and 2 were resolved. Although the date discrepancy is minor, it is noteworthy.
