Based on extensive research, this product appealed to me. I received it just now and I'm impressed This is what we have done. With a huge back drop I procured from Neewer, it took me less than three minutes to put it together! As a result of reading some negative reviews, my biggest concern was how sturdy it felt. When it was at its full height & width, I extended it further I've been able to extend the width with no problems. I haven't done anything with the sandbag bags (I will still need to purchase the sand) and haven't completed the second step. The system seems to be stable without them, so I'm not sure if I need Due to the stitching on the end of all my backdrops, I should not need the backdrop clamps since I can easily insert the top rod into the stitching. When the backdrop fabric is stretched, the clips seem to work just fine for removing wrinkles. It worked great. Our review of the Mountdogs 8 comes from our testing. I purchased the 5x10 stand and it was lightweight and easy to put together. It is a 6-part system One reason we chose this model was its clips, and everything worked as it should. During the long photo shoot, we took several pictures of three of our dogs bouncing around, on the stand which did not move or shift at all. I was able to get everything going right away. As far as I am concerned, the crossbars slide smoothly. However, the tripod stands remain in place, but the tighteners are plastic, so I am not confident about how long they will last. This is one of the first clips I've used to hold cloth backdrops. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works. A pair of clamps costs less than a dollar. The item was a gift to my daughter for her FB Her old frame was not strong enough to hold the green screen filled with extended. She loves adding green screens to her sales, but they don't help her much. Now you know how to solve that problem! It is over 8 feet tall when fully extended and is over 10 feet wide.
For added security, the frame uses basic twists to lock it all in place and hasn't come loose at all since we installed it. As one of the only parts of the project I think could be improved, I enclose a photograph of the top bracket mount. You could eventually bend the metal if you tighten it too hard. As the base feet expand, they will become wide, which helps to enhance the stability when the table is fully extended.
