It can hold up to 12 feet of screen. All parts except for the part where I needed a washer to link the bars together, I did without instructions. There aren't a lot of steps in the instructions, but overall, assembling it is not difficult. For those of you who are not tall enough, I suggest doing it together with someone else. You get two empty sand bags with it. In order to add some weight to those sandbags, I put two bean bags in the two sandbags to contain my active preschooler, who is afraid of knocking it over. I think it is pretty stable backdrop support if you set it up correctly and leave it flat. It is easy to take it apart and put it back together. Place it in the provided bag once you have completed assembling it. Its light weight allows it to be easily carried wherever you need. It would be very practical if you wanted to use it as a movie screen stand in the backyard. I would suggest manufacturing it again. Make sure the instructions have clear photographs. As a whole, it is a great purchase that doesn't take up much space and is very functional.

A very strong base stand is included with this It feels much thicker than the one I had before or the one I have similar to it. I just wanted to let you know that these stands are not compatible, in case you were thinking of using them to hold multiple items. Designed with a thicker pole to lock into the top bar and keep it steady, they come with a thinner pole. I appreciate the bag, clips and sandbags, which measurably improve my experience.

In addition, the locking mechanisms stopped keeping the height locked a few weeks ago when I took it out for another graduation party. Pulling out the top part of the bracket, I saw that the springs were just hanging around. We failed to make it work, but this was not what we wanted. There is no way to make the claw feet at the bottom stay they continuously open or close no matter how tight we tighten This thing topples over at the slightest movement, so there is no locking mechanism on the top bar. Sand bags were not as stable as we had hoped since we could not figure out how to use them. The set is one of those items where you get what you pay for, so I will be returning and investing in a more expensive version.

I already have a stand that is a little smaller than this one, and I like it much more than my previous stand. The new one is more sturdy and stronger and a little thicker than what I have previously owned. I really like You will understand why I suggest this stand if you have previously had other stands. I'm not saying it's not going to break on you, but if you've ever used other stands, you understand. It was missing the wingnuts that hold the top of the poles and the sandbags, so I gave it 4 stars.
