I have yet to put it to "real world" use, but I think it'll work great! I'm really excited to start shooting. By the way, I'm a semi-pro. level of a professional photographer.
It performs admirably.
This trigger works, but it has two flaws in my opinion. 1) The screen brightness quickly changes from high to medium, then turns off. This should be configurable by the user. 2) In direct sunlight, the screen brightness is insufficient. In direct sunlight, it's impossible to read.
I don't think I need to go over the scroll wheel issues that several others have raised. They are genuine and, if anything, understated in their approach. "Two thumbwheels," says the author. This is an urgent problem for Westcott to address. "br>br>In addition, as advertised, setting up this unit to control Canon brand RF flashes is a nightmare. I was able to get it to work ONCE, but only with Westcott tech support on the phone with me while I was doing it, and I haven't been able to do it since. br>br>Please, Wescott, fix these issues so that their fantastic strobes can be used reliably.
