Questions & Answers

How do I use this remote to control the flashes on a camera and trigger it remotely?

Although it was quite some time ago, I believe I still have the same question. I'd like to be able to remotely trigger my camera and use a remote flash. I've attached a receiver to the camera and flash, and I've got the transmitter in my hand; if I fire, the camera shutter and flash both fire immediately, without being controlled by the camera. So, on one channel, you'll need one transmitter in your hand and a receiver on the camera, and on the other channel, you'll need a SECOND transmitter on the camera and a receiver at the flash (if it doesn't have one built in). As a result, the camera controls and triggers the flash, while I control and trigger the camera remotely. You'd need a transceiver with two circuits on the camera if you wanted to do it any other way. br> There was also a response on the dpreview website.

Is it possible to make high-velocity shots with the new Canon RP?

She works in a very well-synchronized manner.

Is this compatible with the Godox v1-? Can you spell Canon with a c?

Yes, it most certainly will.

I own a variety of flashes from various manufacturers. I recently upgraded to a Canon mirrorless system and am unsure how to connect three external flash units. ?

I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with the mirrorless concept. Visit the Canon website for more information.

For the most part, it is effective! When using multiple GODOX and Flashpoint lights, the trigger performs admirably
4/5

The X1C trigger has been replaced by this. The flash allows you to see all of your light outputs on a single screen, eliminating the need for "channel pages. " br>br>Controls are vastly improved over previous models - The number of button presses is significantly reduced. br>br>On the negative side, I've had a number of (ongoing) non-working relationships. triggers. The flashes will not always trigger if you are too close to the lights. I've had this happen several times (on the most recent firmware) with ongoing issues, and seller Pergear was of no help in the matter, suggesting that I re-install the firmware. purchase a second one The triggers themselves appear to be the source of the problem. br>br>Despite the issues, I continue to use it because of the benefits. My X1C, on the other hand, has a better track record.

It's almost perfect! Compared to the X1T, the Xpro is a huge step forward
5/5

It's hard to believe they're from the same company and are only one generation apart; the Xpro excels in every area where the X1T failed. br>br>A large, beautifully backlit screen displays a wealth of information for up to five channels at once, or can be zoomed in to see each channel separately. This screen makes figuring out settings and navigating menus a lot easier. Of course, you can quickly turn on HSS and rear curtain sync from here, as well as set each group in a different mode if desired. br>br>To aid in this, there are a LOT of buttons and dials on here, all clearly labeled (unlike the X1T), allowing you to select each group with the push of a button and quickly change its settings. The dial, like everything else about the build quality, is smooth and high-quality. br>br>In terms of build quality, it's a very different shape than the X1T. This one is a little taller to make it easier to attach and detach from your camera (the X1T was a little close to the body and it was sometimes difficult to get a good grip to unscrew it when it was on there tight). With a few cool extras like the new TCM function and the ability to choose whether you're working at closer or longer distances to avoid misfires with flashes close to the trigger, you get one of the best wireless triggers on the market. br>br>Add to that a few cool extras like the new TCM function and the ability to choose whether you're working at closer or longer distances to avoid misfires with flashes close to the trigger, you get one of the best With a strong lineup of speedlights, strobes, and hybrids, such as the AD200, the Xpro has given me even more confidence to switch completely to their system.

I have a Canon 5d Mark IV, Canon 580exII speedlights, and a Godox SK4000II strobe, and this is my first foray into radio controlled triggers. After some fiddling, I was able to attach the trigger to the hot shoe and have the strobe and speedlights fire simultaneously. It's worth noting that the speedlights will require the Godox X1 receiver. The only problem I had was with synchronization. Connecting the camera to the trigger is a great way to get started. A half-push on the shutter release is required to achieve this. This turns on the metering, which brings the camera and trigger into sync. When the shutter is released after they've been synced, the flash goes off. I haven't tried TTL because I always use manual flashes. A focusing beam, similar to that of the speedlights, is also included on the trigger. I only ordered one receiver at first, but I plan to order one for each speedlight in the future. The fact that this trigger activated both the strobe and the speedlight was a pleasant surprise to me. Another useful feature is that the trigger can control individual flashes (set modes, flash strength, and so on). This eliminates the need to do so manually for each flash. When there are two or three flashes going at the same time, this is very useful. Finally, the trigger appears in the camera's "External flash menu. " Another way to control the functions of some flashes. I believe it is a good value for the money.

It's not possible
3/5

I'm not a professional photographer, but I have a few friends who are. I assumed my lack of experience was to blame when I couldn't get this to sync with my flash. So I showed it to a couple of my friends who work in the field of photography. They couldn't get the Godox items to sync for any of them. I emailed the company about returning the Godox items I bought on Amazon, but I have yet to hear back. It was a complete waste of money.

It was made right by Amazon! Once you've paired it with your flash and/or camera, it's a great product to use
4/5

I've used the unit to control up to ten flashes at once, and being able to adjust each one individually is fantastic. The only drawback is that it eats batteries, so have plenty on hand. If they could build a larger unit that used their Godox rechargeable battery as an auxiliary power source, that would be a welcome addition. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> The product is still consuming batteries. I tried several times to contact Godox for help, but they kept re-directing me to the wrong place. I finally contacted AMAZON, explained all of the issues, and they are refunding my $$ after sending the same check list and insisting there is nothing wrong with their product. I give Amazon 10 STARS for customer service because they made a bad situation into a positive one.

This is a fantastic trigger
5/5

20200121 1755 is a telephone number that can be used to contact the author. This was purchased as a gift for a Canon enthusiast. (I tried to persuade him to switch to Sony, but he was adamant. ) This is the same trigger that I use on my Sony cameras, but it's for Canon cameras. With a Canon mount, you get all of the great Godox/Flashpoint compatibility. The Pro trigger has a large screen and five groups (A - F). E) with complete control over the strobe or speedlight's power, TTL, and all other settings. This device is capable of controlling four speed lights, two AD 200 units, and one Flashpoint strobe (at least for me). br>br>Battery life isn't as good as it is on an XT-. 1. However, it has a lot more features.

It's great to have the ability to control more than five groups of lights
5/5

Because I already own a Godox X2Tc that can only control 5 groups, the ability to select up to 16 groups was the main reason for this purchase. Unfortunately, this Pro unit does not offer TTL mode, but it has worked flawlessly for me when I've needed to control more than 5 groups of lights. It would be great if a newer version of this Pro unit was released that included the X2Tc's extra features like frequency search for a clear channel and TTL. So I'm now using both the Pro and the X2Tc when working with more than 5 groups in the studio, and the X2Tc when working outside the studio with speedlites and 5 or fewer groups; both work well, but have their limitations.
