Selected User Reviews For Westcott 2012 32-Inch Optical White Satin with Removable Black Cover Umbrella

This product is a little small, but it fits in my luggage and does the job
5/5

These were the umbrellas I chose since I needed new shooting umbrellas. Westcott's fiberglass ribs have a little give and seem to be more durable than metal ones, so I am glad they are now being used. There will always be deformation to the metal. The versatility of the camera allows me to use it both as a shooter and as a still camera I just work with the size, even though they are a bit small, because I can pack them in my luggage for travel. There are a few issues with this umbrella, including the fact that it won't last forever and wind is an issue when you are shooting outside, but these are a good option if you need a bit more than a shoot. I am listening. You can make them last longer by being nice to them. You should be careful when you remove the cover, as the spines are exposed(? Sharp) can be a problem.

It was in perfect condition when I received it, packed in a cardboard box with a lot of papers
5/5

There are several Westcott modifiers that I use, such as the 24" Apollo and the 52" Softbox that I use with two softboxes Although I already have 3 speedlights, I needed an umbrella with a shoot-through for some portraits, so I purchased arrived yesterday, so I opened it up and checked it thoroughly. Packing in a box with lots of paper cushioning has been received in perfect condition. used it today for a portrait shoot, and it worked great as a fill light, and I even left the cover on. I was concerned it would be too small, as I had purchased it as a small.

You DO need to remove the cover
5/5

Firstly, I would like to address a previous buyers review that mentioned the cover is not removable. It is true that the cover is sewn into the metal tips. It's the metal tips themselves that come off the ends of the umbrella. It is possible that the buyer was unaware of how it worked. You can look forward to The umbrella is otherwise a very good value since it can be both used to shoot through OR to use as a reflector umbrella when the cover is This is a very versatile person.

This umbrella is good, but its size is an issue You can fit it in your pocket
4/5

Despite the fact that it is very short, it is also a little bit small for creating the soft light required. I don't think there was a problem with the product itself, since I knew what I was buying, but as a reminder to those If you have a 45" screen, you might want to consider it. Probably not the most appropriate light for a key light, but great for soft fill This umbrella is of good quality, but I don't expect it to last too long, but I don't expect extra long life either from an umbrella - its cover is easy to remove and replace. Not the kind you take with a camera or the kind you take with rain.

Until needle and thread are used to repair removable covers, they cannot be repaired
3/5

Thought it was well constructed, but was much smaller than anticipated. This is a heavy material that should hold up over time. The manufacturer's definition of removable is not the same as mine. The first time. As it is currently sewn/tied to the ends of the ribs, you need to sew it back onto the ribs of the umbrella.

The price is reasonable, and it's the right product
5/5

I bought this umbrella because of the price, and I am happy with the quality for the price. It is made from solid metal with a black painted shaft, so it won't scratch or dent like my other umbrellas do. It is very easy to remove the Black cover, even if the first time you do so might take you a few minutes. It is not a standard umbrella that was modified for rain this umbrella was specifically made for photography, so it should last With the size of 32", it is much easier to carry and set up than 45" and 60" sizes, which are good for taking individual portraits and couples photos. Light up your room if you place it in this way When facing the light source towards the end of the shaft, you have a 32" light, which is plenty for most uses.

It has been returned to you
4/5

Bowens mounts are too small for this small horse. It has been returned to you. A Bowens mount cannot be used in bounce mode because it is too small.

The Westcott product is reliable and the umbrella is nice
5/5

For its price range, this is what you should expect in terms of material and lighting quality. The product is not made to last forever, but will continue to function for a considerable period of.
