I like the way this flash bracket looks. One of the adjustment wheels on one of them was stuck tight when I tried to turn it. A pair of pliers was needed to move it. My first thought was that the threads of the stud were cross threaded, and there was vast amounts of plastic clogging them. The threads were cleaned up and it turned better after that. Photos 1 and 2 can be seen here. Although it looked crooked, it was still imperfect. The second photo shows Glue is unnecessarily visible on the bottom of is piece, where there appears to be a plastic insert in the plastic wheel. It is possible that is why it got stuck at first! The following photos demonstrate the following From another flash bracket, here is the adjustment wheel For a few cents more per unit, you're getting a much better design that will last for much longer. The Fourteenth Photograph of the Year As you can see, there is another issue with the flash bracket Crookedly inserted, the stud sticks out from the head. There ought not to be a situation like that. To carry out that process, a fixture should be used to hold the bracket piece, and the drilling and cutting equipment must be aligned perfectly - This is not an excuse for such an out of square situation! Furthermore, since they are made from metal, they will probably last longer than some of the plastic ones available today.
In my role as a professional photographer, I needed to mount more strobes on my nano stands, and these were perfect for the job. I was skeptical at first because the prices are so low in comparison to their competitors, but the quality is excellent.
Unfortunately, the hot shoe mount does not have enough space to securely mount any flash with a thick plastic shoe, so it is.
In addition to what others have said, the shoe is too loose to hold my Yongnuo speedlights, even when it's completely tightened. You won't lose your speedlight so long as you tighten the thumbwheel. Otherwise, it will fall to the ground. Neewer's design is not as good as it should be. There is a locking wheel under the shoe that is VERY tight and difficult to operate. In the future, I expect Neewer to deliver more.
If you don't mind the rest, it's fine.
I like it a lot. Rotational alignment of a cold shoe is enhanced by using flat washers of different thicknesses. tilt can be adjusted by twisting the thumbscrew. This is a very.
