There is no doubt that Neewer products are a good value

You don't need an off camera speedlight to take pictures. Why spend $300 or more on one? There's no wireless receiver in this unit, but Neewer sells wireless units for an extremely low price, so I no longer consider this an issue. Even if you get two of these units plus wireless receivers, it is still less than half as expensive as a low-level flash, like one from Canon.

This is well worth the money

It works such a treat! I have only been using it for one event, however. Despite not knowing how long my photos would last, I think they came out well. In addition, I believe the website list of recycle times is based on a 100% power setup. With the setting down a couple of f-sizes, as a fill and As soon as it stopped, the recycle time was instant (well, I couldn't tell if it was instant or not). Despite the fact I love my Canon cameras, I couldn't imagine spending this much on a comparable flash.

I got a speedlite as a gift last year and dropped it last month, so it stopped working. It felt bad, but it gave me an excuse to buy a new one with the features I I love the simplicity of this. I found this flash to be a great flash with great modes, but without too many extra features, which I exactly wanted.

Due to the flat ground of this camera, it can sit on the table I use to take pictures of the jewelry I sell without a stand. The versatility of the tilting head makes it easy to aim the flash. I have shot a lot of photos with the Canon since I now have great lighting.

In terms of what I need out of it, this unit does just fine. The program is very responsive and adapts Since I was able to trigger my camera remotely while using it, using it off camera is also very easy. It was a bit hard for me to read the instructions as I am in my sixties with no glasses helping. I tried it out to see what I could do with it and I was very happy with the results, and I think I can still find new possibilities. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, especially for the price. It's been almost a month now that I've used it on my initial set of batteries, and they're still going strong. This is an excellent buy if you are looking for an economical purchase that produces good performance and excellent applicability.
