The reason I bought it was for that reason. The extension works perfectly with the Day pack and the Extended pack. Although you may sweat under it a bit, I hike when the temperature is 115 degrees. The best way to carry your SLR when hiking, in my opinion, is by using a rucksack.
Checked it again just now. It was at first thought to be metal, but it may be a The plastic used is of high quality.
This lens is heavy and a moose, so I'm not sure how it will perform. One of mine is not compatible with Carrier, and I've never tried it. It would have to be removed from the tripod mount. With the additional length of an extended lens, I would be awkward. I usually leave my 100-mm I keep my 400mm in its case in my backpack until I need it. I know it's a dumb answer, but the Cotton Carrier is perfect for my modest zoom lens and camera.
The answer is yes, I think. By using the vertical grip, most likely the hub mount on the camera would not be impacted

I originally came across this harness carrier when I was almost tripped by my heavy camera and lens hanging from my sling straps when hiking in the mountains nearly a decade ago. It seemed a promising substitute. When I first got the camera, the neck strap was uncomfortable, and as soon as I switched to the shoulder strap, it was very uncomfortable, but the camera still needed to be supported with my hands so it wouldn't swing loosely when I hiked. I met a photographer who shoots for National Geographic, and he wore one of these and raved about how comfortable and easy to use it was. wish I had purchased it prior to my recent trip to Armenia and Georgia, but I waited until now to pull the trigger. As I get older, I don't want to take a chance on falling down and some of the terrain I hiked in was iffy for me. If I had this carrier, the hikes would have been safer and much more enjoyable. During the weekend, I was able to check out this app and fell in love with Initially, it can be a bit challenging to get it fitted to your body, but once it is, you only have one strap to adjust in the future to accommodate a jacket under the pack or to allow for more or less clothing. Over all of this, it is very comfortable to wear an everyday bag or back pack. I love the design. To remove the camera from the carrier slot, and to return it after shooting, takes a couple of moments. You'll also no longer have to keep looking down at the camera while walking. There hasn't been any downside to this product so far, however, it may get a little warm in hot weather, but the material is fairly vented and very robust, so it may be okay in warmer weather. I will have to wait and see. It is my opinion that this case is essential for anyone walking around with a DSLR camera and lens, even if they are hiking or walking for hours. I am now able to hike and walk around with my camera all day, taking photos all while walking in total comfort and reducing my chances of breaking my neck when hiking on rocky, uneven mountain.
Review writing is rare for me, but this time I feel compelled to write one because The way you do it is very good. For my photographer daughter, I bought the Cotton Carrier G3 1 Camera Harness (Grey). As a result of hanging her Canon 7D from its strap around her neck for multiple hours, she had been complaining of neck pain for several days Photo shoot for an hour Several shots were taken. My solution worked well and even went a step further. Neck fatigue is no longer an issue. She held the camera safely no matter what she did. The seam on one of the shoulder straps on the chest failed several hours after the patch was applied. In spite of this, the carrier held onto the camera, so there was no risk of the equipment being damaged. The fact that the camera was still safe despite the strap failure is a plus in my opinion. I sent a message to the company in preparation for the risk of losing an otherwise good product You can send the mail the next day to Cotton carrier via their website. There is a repair request on the site. Brook from Cotton Carrier responded that afternoon despite the fact it was Sunday - and before dawn on Monday, a new replacement was on its way . You don't have to worry about shipping costs or any other hassle. A superb product, and great customer service. It arrived a couple of days after I placed my order, and my daughter already has it ready for her next photo shoot. This is a shooting. Daughter can't express in enough words how pleased she is with this product. To her recollection, it's the first time she had to worry about the camera or lenses hitting objects while shooting. I'm likely going to get another one for myself because I'm so pleased with the customer service. It's definitely worth it. I like the product, which is well designed and made of high quality materials. It is lighter than I predicted, and it matches the original pictures. Judging by the way the rest of the carrier appears to be arranged, it appears our situation was a fluke. It's nice to be able to stash extra CF cards in these compartments. I love how the straps and connectors are set in a way that they will not pull out of the connectors without a lot of force being applied. (I once had a different camera case from another maker in which the strap pulled out if one wasn't value for money when it comes to the carrier's quality and usefulness.
Having walked 5 miles with my camera and 400mm lens attached to the Cotton Carrier G3 Harness recently, I have some pictures to share. I liked it a lot. As someone 66 years old whose back and shoulders can be aching for days on end from carrying my heavy camera and lens combination for wildlife photography, carrying my equipment for miles has left me with aching back and shoulders. Cotton Carrier caught my interest when I was about to give up walking with a camera and decided to give it a go. I was very pleased with the comfort of the hotel. The case is highly recommended for those who are having trouble carrying their There was only one issue with snapping in the camera. You have to get used to it.
My camera is very heavy, and since I have to hold it by hand to take pictures, I use my finger to steer it. As a result, my hands and arms get tired very easily carrying my camera since it is heavy and very expensive. I don't allow other people to carry my camera since it is my baby and very expensive. Recently, I purchased this camera harness for my most recent trip to Michigan and I am very happy with it. In addition to using the harness while hiking and climbing, I also used it By wearing the harness, my camera and 100/400 lens are held securely and I am free to use them. I was able to use the quick release when the shot presented itself. You won't have to worry about hands and arms being tired anymore. In addition to being comfortable, the harness is well designed. This product is great! I would recommend it.
My favorite part of it is that it works perfectly! During my stride, I wasn't bouncing the camera against my body with every step I was completely hands-free If you want to use my hiking poles, please feel free to do so. If you plan to wear it, I recommend washing it twice. I transferred some dye from the straps to a light colored shirt I was wearing during a sweaty 12 mile.
