Questions & Answers

The work it does with 70-plus international organizations Is it worth it to invest in a Nikon D850? Are there any limitations to how much it can hold?

Could you please clarify what the weight capacity of the machine is? Despite its name, the Anchor Link System is capable of supporting more than 200 pounds according to Peak Design's web site. This amount of weight is obviously too heavy for you. A Nikon 200-format camera resides in my possession 7 pounds is the total weight of the 500mm lens and the camera. The combined weight is 5 pounds and 2 I find the strap comfortable when I use that weight with the camera + lens.

Do you think this product would work well on a trail?

It is estimated that I am around ten years old. The height is six feet. During full length, I can hold my Nikon D7200 at the top of my right back pocket when the strap is approximately full length. I am able to walk comfortably. Do not have any long hikes under my belt.

The new tripod plate must be mounted on a tripod, but how do you do that? It's a different one from the old one, is it compatible with Arca Swiss?

As part of this new version, you will get an Anchor Mount that does not work with tripods. To use the new version, you should either get our Standard Plate separately or use your own tripod plate.

How will this work with the travel tripod plate by peak design? I would like to use strap as an additional security measure with the plate since it works well with camera clip. ?

Even with the tripod plate mounted on both sides of the camera, you can hook the strap on both sides of the camera.

This is not something that you should entrust to professional gear! I don't really care which you choose
3/5

As a professional photographer for 22 years, I would like to share my experience with you I've experienced it all when it comes to camera accessories over the past 30 years. A configurable strap has the potential to be incredibly useful, but the execution here is awful. A camera body that is 100 percent heavier than it used to be, as well as other accessories There is a thin, light, flimsy, easy to wear out lens can with a 1/32" cable and a small disk measuring about 1/2" in diameter carried by a thin, light, flimsy little dongle. all there is to A plastic thingy has a little button that clicks into another plastic piece. I believe this is how your camera is attached This is not durable in any way. With 3 cheap plastic parts with constant friction, you also get 2 plastic parts for direct contact A 5 lb load of gear puts additional strain That's not right. The journey continues. As a result. End of story. That's all right. The police department has had so many of these break (and cameras crash to the ground, a professional's worst nightmare) that they have now As soon as it's ready to break, the cheap little thin plastic disc turns color! Quite frankly, who in the world wants to double their money Every time you put your gear over your head, check the camera strap mounts? Here's what you need to know Because it hasn't been redesigned to not break, it hasn't been able to last Rather, it becomes a different color just prior to breaking. As long as you do it in time, you'll need to order more of those little plastic discs. Of course, you must take off your strap until you receive more plastic things Funny thing is, I actually like the strap. This is a wide and comfortable sofa. By mounting the PD strap to a Black Rapid mount/carabiner, you have the ideal strap for DSLR cameras. Having switched back to Black Rapid, I'll be sticking to it. Never have I heard of any hardware breaking in their computers It's never ending. That brass and zinc alloy is nice and thick, and I'm sure it will protect my gear for many years to come. My only issue with the BR straps is that I dislike some of the things about them, but the peace of mind that comes with knowing that my gear is 100% secure ***** -.

Clips need to be swivelled! A review earlier in the year has been updated
4/5

I found that the cord between the button and the anchor point on the D750 kept twisting and kinking, which seems to be weakening the cord. So I ordered 12 black plastic clips with a swivel on one end and a clip on the other. There is an advertisement that describes them as being quite strong and (I think) Due to the fact that I had a dozen (the minimum order), I destroyed one. A rough estimate would be that it took from 50 to 60 pounds. A small piece of the clip ends can be broken off with a little bit of pull. As long as the camera stayed attached, it would have worked. There is no way I could get into a situation that would force that much strain on the clip To be effective, it would have to shock There must be some loading going on. A great feature of the strap is the ability to unclip the entire thing so that the cording and buttons don't hang around. After using the 120mm zoom attachment for several hours, my shoulder was feeling it), and for the dangling buttons in the way the strap was intended to be used prior to clipping it on.

There is an error in the design
3/5

A pro is The *br- This is an excellent piece of writing. The cons are The *br- No joke, this model is good for people with long torsos and at least 6'4. When the strap is pulled to the top, it still sits below the middle of my belly, even when it is all the way up. The *br- As it is designed, it bends inward during walking, so once you start walking, the bottom of the camera is always The *br- There is no underside to the bottom piece of the camera where it screws in. As such, if you intend to attach it to a tripod, you will not be able to, since like the majority of them, this one doesn't have that capability. I will grade the item as a D on the whole. The physical composition of it is solid, but the engineering behind it is abominable. If you're not a basketball player, this item isn't for you, it's like saying if you're not a basketball player, don't buy it. Over the past five years, I have used the old thinner peak design camera strap and it was amazing. We have used this item for a number of years now, so I wanted something to replace it with, but I was concerned that the designers/engineers of the original are no longer working for the Then shame on you, shame on you!.

Despite its great design, the strap has an incredibly Let me tell you what I think of What a wonderful strap this is
3/5

This is a beautiful sight. Besides being well made, it looks nice, too. As far as comfort goes, I can see where it would be extremely useful. Here's a quick look - It is quite ingenious to have the clasp release part on the strap. In any case. I dislike the metal adjusters. The metal adjusters are particularly annoying. Metal is used in making them. In my camera bag, I never just throw metal brackets or metal quick release plates loosely nearby the cameras or lenses that I may encounter. This strap pretty much does what I fear will happen if I put it away when I'm done. There might be a way to remove the strap from the bag and stow it in a different location. The strap can be folded up in such a way as to prevent possible damage to it. If these handles were made of plastic or maybe coated with something that wouldn't scratch LCD screens or front lens elements, I would feel better about using them. It might be more useful if the handles were covered with a sleeve.

A reliable source
5/5

Peak Design earned my trust after a prolonged and exhaustive research regarding heavy duty camera straps with a slide feature. While walking around the streets, hiking in the outdoors, taking photos at weddings, or casually carrying my camera, I am completely certain that it will be safe. Having access to the unique features offered by Peak Design, I feel that my baby is secure. There were a lot of one star reviews like that for other slide camera straps which made me feel uneasy because each one star review detailed how a component of the strap broke, making the camera As I considered this, I wondered if it was worth the risk to buy a cheaper camera strap that would No way. Peak Design is extremely sturdy and reliable. I am comfortable walking around with it since it has a lot of strength. As far as I'm concerned, the strap does not cause me pain. I find that it actually makes my heavy equipment One of the only things I have a concern about is how the straps are As soon as I let my hair down, the buckles catch in it. My concern with the buckles is that the metal buckles will occasionally hit the camera if the bag is in motion, but I don't really mind it now that I have it. There is enough room in the bag it comes with to clip off the strap and put it in. My baby is at risk, and I'm doing all I can to keep him.
