Over a year ago, I purchased an inexpensive Celestron NexStar telescope, and the lenses that came with it worked perfectly. Now that I have this lens kit, I can't claim this is "workable" anymore, because these are SOOO much more useful. As I was using my stock lenses, I was able to see Saturn and its rings, along with The planets Jupiter and Mars would work for me. There was no doubt that the moon could be seen with great clarity. Yet, I was able to pick up the star cluster in M42 (the "sword" of Orion), a bunch of stars with their color spectrum easily seen, and I even managed to perceive Uranus without much difficulty with these lenses. The stock lenses I used made it almost impossible for me to see Uranus. Pluto will be visible in June, and Jupiter will be visible in July. There is an attachment on the Barlow lens that allows the camera to be connected to a DSLR. It comes with the Gosky Nikon Camera T Adapter M42x0. I have a Nikon D5600 camera. The Barlow is made of 75 T2 threads that are perfect for my camera and barlow. As a result, taking pictures of stars and planets was difficult. Moreover, I couldn't take pictures of the moon given that it was close to the sun as I looked at the stars. Later on, on a warmer night and with my astronomy club, I'm looking forward to seeing what the filters can do with this kit.
As this kit contains a variety of items for my ST130 space probe, I find it appealing. Despite the fact that all the lenses appear to work well, the Barlow 2X is better at bringing the planets into clearer view. My wife and I use this tool almost every night, except when there are clouds. enjoy the view of Jupiter and Saturn's rings no less, but I particularly enjoy Jupiter and its rings. It helps with the brightness and makes the objects move better when they are filtered.
For anyone who is interested in astronomy, this is the perfect purchase. Each of the three eyepieces is of excellent quality (I am most impressed with the 20 mm). Also, the Barlow lens, made of metal and with a glass lens (which is better for sharpness as opposed to plastic Barlows) is a highlight. These filters are a great way to expand the capabilities of your telescope, so you can get a better view of the night sky and celestial bodies such as the moon or This allows for a much clearer image than the stock ones that come with telescopes and the Barlow is a nice addition to any telescope set (even when the telescope comes with a stock Barlow, this is worth the difference in quality).
An optical device. There was no problem with the lens being powerful enough to fit the telescope, but it was so unclear I expected better lens. I know magnifying lenses get less clear as they become magnified, but it still seemed odd. I returned this set since I found the barlow 2x lens to make very little difference.
There is no better way to maximize the use of your telescope than with this little kit. These eyepieces are of higher quality than those supplied with a lot of telescopes. The glass filters are high quality, too. There are some aberration problems with the Barlow. However, overall, it's a much better price than the competition.
