There is so much more direct light with the ring light that the image doesn't get blown out. There are great external controls on the AmScope and all of the equipment feels solidly constructed. Should the need arise, I would definitely purchase this product again.

It's okay, but there's room for quality improvement(s)

There is flickering during the adjustment of light levels. If I take it apart and reassemble it with an Arduino or ESP8266 controller and RGB LED ring, I could build it from scratch. Currently, it works the way it's supposed to once you set the preferred brightness level.

I purchased it and I was pleased with the results after one The LED light for the microscope is needed by me, as I am a jeweler. Last night, I turned on the light and it turned into a strobe light and stayed on, but today it just stopped. I can't even get it to.
