Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this raincoat with my Nikkon 600mm lens?

It's what I use with my Canon 600mm and the 1. There are four extenders in total, and they cover everything, including the camera body. It should be enough to cover your Nikon 600mm lens.

Is it possible to use a smaller lens, such as a 50mm, with this?

The RainCoat Pro and RainCoat 2 Pro are from the 3002 series of lenses. Between 8 and 800 mm I'd go with a LensCoat RainCoat RS Small for a 50mm.

Will this work on a Nikon d850 with a 200-mm lens and a 200-mm grip? 500 mm?

I use a Nikon D7200 camera and a 200mm lens. 500 lens. (There is no grip.) The coat, on the other hand, should be ample in size.

Will this lens fit the new Canon rf 100mm-f/2.8L IS SLR camera? 500mm?

On their website, they usually have a key that shows what goes with what. Because I don't use Canon, I can't give you a definitive answer.

The beach is a great place to go
5/5

This is a very well-made raincoat for cameras. It has a solid feel to it and can accommodate a wide range of lenses. I've used it with a Nikon 80mm f/1. 8 lens. Both the Nikon 400mm F4 and the Nikon 500mm F4 zoom lenses are available. 0 tele. Even when shooting shorter tele lenses, there are enough straps to keep the fit under control. It makes the camera less accessible, but not to the point where I ever took it off, as it does with all rain gear. My Wimberley Sidekick gimbal mount and long lenses were both protected by the Raincoat. I've only used it with the D500 so far, but it would have worked with any of my Nikon DSLRs.

For your lens, this is a fantastic raincoat
5/5

On my Nikon 300mm f/2, I use the LensCoat Raincoat Pro. It's version 8 and it's fantastic. I've used the plastic/vinyl lens raincoats before, and they're fine, but Lenscoat takes it to the next level. The other covers appear to have a mind of their own, sticking up where they shouldn't, moving around, and making it difficult to get to your camera. This LensCoat is well-fitting, stays in place, and makes it relatively easy to access your camera without too much clutter. Shooting in the rain is bad enough as it is, so why make it even worse by using a cheap raincoat for your lens? Spend the money on a good raincoat for yourself and your lens to brighten up that gloomy day.

This is a great addition to my camera collection
5/5

I bought one of these for my large telephoto lenses and only got to use it yesterday. As the rain began to fall after I had left the shelter area, I discovered that setting up the camera in the field is simple. I was able to run the flash cord through it with no issues. The fit on the 600mm was good, but it wasn't long enough for me to close the back completely around the camera. To do that, I would have needed to extend the lens hood, but having the camera exposed and viewable was not a problem. br>A small amount of water got into the lens hood, which is to be expected when shooting birds up in the air. Overall, this is a nice addition to your gear that will allow you to photograph in inclement weather or protect your equipment if you get caught in some unexpected rain showers.

It was a pain
3/5

The camouflage is good, but the cover is so big that it can only be used with a tripod. While in a kayak, I do handheld work, and all of the fabric is cumbersome because it doesn't fit well. It's a shame because the quality is excellent, but the fit is terrible.

So far, everything has gone well
5/5

I've already used it in the rain with no problems, and I have it on my Sony A9 and the Sony 200-series camera. I have a 600mm lens, so I have to rely on this product to do its job.

Loved it
5/5

This came in handy during my trip to Alaska. I visited Katami National Park, where it rained but my camera remained dry! It was fantastic! When it wasn't on my tripod, it was a little more difficult to use. On my 150-pound backpack, I had it. With the lens hood on, I was able to get a 600mm focal length.

In the event of a rainstorm, this is an excellent emergency shelter
5/5

This came in handy when I was photographing birds in a light drizzle. It kept my gear dry, was simple to put on and take off, and allowed me to continue shooting in inclement weather. It is strongly advised that you do not miss your shot.
