As a result, putting the Blink cameras in these hides all but a small rectangular portion of the camera's front. br>br>However, the case IS a weatherproofing aid, and it DOES assist. It's amazing how dirt and grime can accumulate on outdoor Blink cameras, even when they're completely shielded from the elements. These cases take the brunt of it, and they can easily be removed and washed in the sink. br>br>I also have a mix of first and second generation Blink exterior cameras, and I'm curious if they'll work with both. (Blink changed the back mount on the cameras, which was a source of concern for me. ) They do, however, cover the two distinct camera styles.

Deliveries and the occasional visitor to our front door are the main reasons for this. I had no desire to install a complex wired system throughout my home that was more than I required. I really wanted something that was completely wireless and connected to the internet but didn't require a subscription. Blink XT is here to help! br>These run on batteries for up to two years (we'll see how long that lasts) and connect to my home wifi with ease. They offer a free app as well as web storage. You can set them to record for as long as you want because they are motion activated. Of course, the length has an impact on the battery life. The camera I purchased is the outdoor version, which is weatherproof and has functional "night vision. " The camera's sensitivity to motion, which parts of the "frame" you want to be active for motion detection, video quality, and length, among other things, can all be customized. I've programmed a unique notification tone to let me know when it's turned on. br>I must say that I am very pleased with the product; it performs as expected and produces excellent images. video of high quality The camera becomes slightly blurry when it is very rainy (wet or humid), but what can be done about it? The motion detection is very effective, and the notification is received almost immediately. I'm surprised at how much value there is for such a low price. br>br>Now for the one and only flaw I've discovered. It's a little difficult to mount. I wanted to mount it above my front door without damaging the stucco. A large window above the front door is another feature. So I repurposed an old suction cup auto phone holder and mounted it on my window, then simply inserted the camera into it as I had done with the phone. I can now adjust the camera angle in any direction I want and move it to a different location without causing any damage. This is something I believe they should include in the product; it could be a smaller scale item with a lot more flexibility. In the future, I may add a second camera to cover other areas.

The Ragnaros Blink Skins 3-Piece Set is the subject of this review. Pack. They were purchased to go with my Blink XT cameras. They're well-made, simple to put together, and they're a perfect fit. I wanted a little more protection for the cameras, as well as a white color that would blend in with my house's trim.

The XT and XT2 differ in that they have two-way communication. The problem with this skin is that it was designed for the XT and lacks the mic/speaker holes on one side (not sure which is which or if it's both).

I bought these for my XT2s without doing the research I usually do. They work fine with the XTs, but the XT2s have the speaker on the bottom and no cutout for it. Because orders are taking a little longer to process due to the rona, I didn't feel like going through the hassle of returning and ordering something different. I cut out the bottom with a knife, which looks like a total sham, but I only bought them to match my white trim. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. br>br>On a related note, the birds seemed to enjoy my cameras, so I put screws in them to keep them away.
