Questions & Answers

A lens collar that will fit a Nikon 300MM f/4 AIS lens with a barrel size of 59 is needed. Is 22MM accurate?

To attach the tripod collar to and tighten it around the lens, we have to use the Nikkor 70-200mm lens only If your lens does not have the right barrel diameter, it will not fit the 200mm f/4. As the knob rotates 180 degrees to tighten, it is critical to have a tight fit. You may wish to check out the Vello web site to see if there is a collar available Despite their high quality, they are very affordable.

Tokina 70-300 is the new camera I bought It did not come with a tripod collar, which is why it is called the 200 f/4 VR. What's a better collar to fit my dog?

There is a Nikon 70-200mm lens in my collection The year 2004 is the fourth. My research led me to the Vello collar, so I decided to test it out. It is a very comfortable collar &amp I have no complaints In comparison to Nikons, this camera has an absolute big advantage in terms of price. A lot of thought went into the manufacture and design of the Vello The lens is fully contained in the grip with a solid & firm feel It gives you a sense of confidence. There was no mistake on my part & When you try one out for yourself, you'll probably feel the same. S. Tim. My name is Wilma.

It is comparable to what Nikon offers
4/5

Although it is a bit more secure, it is still not extremely safe. When a force is applied, the lens will rotate. I think this is better than the somewhat loose fit from the substantially more expensive Nikon model. The fix for me was to tape a 2 inch strip of black tape over the barrel of the lens and now it holds perfectly. Slackers will not be tolerated. You may want to save your money and take this route.

When in doubt, try Vello
5/5

Usually, I go with OEM parts. However, I have purchased a couple of inexpensive Vello parts that have worked well for me. Instead of Nikon or RRS collars, I decided to go with the collar by Vello. The product appears to be of good quality and very similar to OEM and RRS products, but at a much lower price. It performs The products of Vello will be added to my shopping list.

If you do not want to spend three times the amount on the OEM, this is the one for you

Here is a buy that you can't miss. It was a waste of money both to try and return the DSLRKIT and the many varieties of the Fotasy NTR1 collar. The Vello collar locks securely, has a safety mechanism to prevent overtightening, is extremely well machined, and is not made of soft metal that's cheaply produced. A feature I liked was the lock mechanism that prevents the screw knob from coming undone accidentally. To release the clamp, you need to unlock the lock mechanism and lift the knob off. It is the lowest priced collar in China that has a permanently embedded screw mount unlike other cheap Chinese collars that are simply This is the best collar you can find. Don't waste your time on any other.

Work is done by Vello

For the Nikon 70-200, it is the only tripod collar offered by a third party That's 200 that will fit. I like how well it performs its function and how well it is of high quality. As far as I'm concerned there is no reason to prefer the Nikon OEM version, which costs three times more. Would like to see the foot Arca-compatible. The Canon lens is Swiss compatible, so I didn't have to use a tripod, but the Nikon lens is not. The lens can be used without the tripod collar, but then you will support the weight of the lens by the camera body if you are carrying the gear by strap, and that will create a lot of strain on the mounting system. Additionally, a tripod isn't an option when you want to stabilize your image. This is a great item to recommend.

Colello TC A tripod collar would be ideal for cameras with 70-200mm lenses This lens has a focal length of 200mm f/4. You can tighten the collar by turning it clockwise while looking at it. Attach the collar to the lens and align the knob with the knob. There will be no rotation of the knob beyond 180°, so the collar will not be over-tightened. Unless you overtighten the collar, there will be no damage to the lens. The tripod knob can be turned 180° counter clockwise to loosen, rotate the camera, and tighten the knob to get it to vertical. This tripod collar from Vello is made from high quality materials, and it has padding inside to prevent scratches on your lenses. The Nikon version of the Vello is not better made or functional than the Nikon version, but I have not seen it. Canon charges $1,500 for each camera. Nikon charges $1,500 for each camera. The lens was made in Thailand without a tripod collar and was then charged $170 for it. When the Vello was $50, it came with an additional $00 accessory. The price I paid was $ 400 at the time.

The item is of poor quality
3/5

As a result of using there for 10 months, I am changing my opinion of the product. In recent months, I have been using the lens cap with the Kirk Arca Swiss Lens Plate. In the last few weeks, I've noticed that the collar progressively became loose around the lens, and the screw thread simply broke. It is hard to believe what shoddy workmanship this lens is made of and I am glad it broke while I was cleaning it rather than while it was actually being used.

The value is excellent

Exactly what I wanted, and everything works as expected. Aside from the low price, the collar is obviously well made, and costs a third of what a Nikon branded collar would. Although the lens is tightly held, you can rotate it when necessary by simply rotating the handle.

The Nikkor 300mm PF works great with this lens
5/5

As for how it fits the 300PF, and how it's permanently attached to a gimbal head, I am quite satisfied with this product.
