This tripod collar is designed to work with the Canon 100mm f/2 lens. Only available with an 8 L lens. This item attaches to the lens's body. I'm not sure what you mean when you say a collar for a lens with a focal length of 72 mm.
Selected User Reviews For Vello TC-DB-II Tripod Collar D for Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro is USM Lens
The 8L IS USM Macro lens is ideal for macro photography. Despite the fact that I've only used the lens and mount a few times, I can confidently say that the Vello TC-M is a fantastic lens and mount. II appears to do a good job of holding my lens in place. There hasn't been any slipping, breaking, scratching, or other issues, and it looks great. For the "L" series lenses, I always prefer to use official Canon components, but when Canon charges such exorbitant prices for such a basic item, it makes sense to look for alternatives. In my opinion, it is well worth the money.
clamp. Much more durable than the plastic collar I had on my tripod, which had broken off!.
The lens fits perfectly in the collar, which is sturdy and well-designed. This increases the versatility of using the telephoto lens while also better balancing the lens/camera assembly.
Build quality is excellent. Fits my Canon EF 100mm f/2 lens perfectly. 8 Macro. I don't think you can go wrong with this one over the OEM that I previously used.
It works, but it's a little wobbly.
It's of excellent quality and performs admirably. I did use a few strips of tape to tighten the fit around the lens, but overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.
The Canon collar is a great low-cost alternative. The fit and finish aren't quite as good as the Canon's, but the functionality is identical.
Fits my Canon Macro 100 2,8 perfectly. Because it's light, it doesn't add much to the weight of my macro photography gear when I'm out shooting.
