They sent me a terrible donut with my order. I could go on and on about the flaws, but for the price, it's fantastic. My only gripe is with the dreadful knickers (cinchable donut) they provide; it takes far more effort than it should to get it to work properly. It bunches up and makes seating difficult. It'll work out in the end, but some lenses are a pain. I suppose I'll have to pay $20 for a new one at some point. It is NOT the knickers shown with the mattebox, as that one appears to be far more user-friendly. The one I got has drawstrings and is made of a stiffer material. That's not a good idea, guys! Don't send it with that one. br>br>However, the flags appear to be sturdy and attractive; however, they are made of plastic, so I'm not sure how well they will withstand impact filmmaking.
The construction is of poor quality. I'm out $130 because the screws aren't tightened when they arrive. Very let down.
The piece connecting the matte box to my rig also allows it to teeter slightly, which isn't a big deal. Apart from that, it's a fantastic item.
It's fantastic!.
For the price, it's adequate.
Excellent work! Everything arrived in perfect condition and on time. Thank you.
Exceptionally well-made for the price. br>Excellent entry-level / junior-level mattebox. Red, not blue, is the color of the hardware.
