There's no such thing as a weak link. The top handle that it has to use, along with the top handle of the rig, makes lifting it easy. One of the main features I love about it is that if you use cine lenses with 115mm (I think) front elements, it has a soft rubber gasket to accommodate the lens, which won't scratch the lens like other matte boxes, even the best ones.
