I really wanted to like this because the black and chrome went so well with my retro-looking camera. The arm is nice and stiff, with only a small amount of wobble. The chrome wheel/handle is well-damped and moves smoothly, allowing for extremely smooth focus or zooming. So far, everything has gone well. br>br>All right, let's put it on my Mirrorless lens. The loop is spring steel, which allows it to flex around your lens, which is nice. Getting it on my Mirrorless lenses was a challenge; it will go that small, but it didn't want to. It had to be extremely tight or else it would slip. It kept popping off while I was using it. No good. br>br>I tested it on larger DSLR lenses, and it attached and stayed in place with ease. This should work fine if you have larger traditional DSLR lenses. However, it did not like my small Mirrorless lenses, which I use, so it will be returned. I liked the look, but I'm afraid it won't work for me. br>br>Another flaw is the foam that lines the inside of the ring. The adhesive is poor to non-sticky, as others have pointed out. existent. Before I opened the package, the ring had been separated from mine. It was simple to keep in place while affixing it, so it wasn't a big deal.
Despite the fact that the device appears to be well-made, I had to return it because it would not fit on any of the lenses I use: Canon 24- 70 L, Canon 70D, 70D, 70D, 70D, 70D, A Sigma 85, a 200 L, and a I imagine these are the types of lenses someone would use if they were serious enough about videography to need a focus puller. This focus puller is far too large to fit around the lenses I use. I'm guessing it'll fit on a kit lens, but that's about it.
When I first got the package, I was taken aback. Physically, this ALZO Digita 1884 Smoothy Zoom Focus assist arm is larger than I anticipated - maybe 25 or so larger than 25 or so larger than 25 or% But it turns out that this isn't an issue at all. Indeed, it ensures that the arm is flexible and study. free. br>br>It accommodates my larger Panasonic micro 4/3 lenses (14-35 mm). 140 & 45- 200) as if it had been designed specifically for them. On my Olympus 40-megapixel camera, I was able to capture the following images. It must be compressed to a smaller diameter, resulting in more overlap, but it still installs easily. br>br>The arm is the perfect length for controlling the zoom. The wheel at the arm's end has a very nice-looking design. This surprised me because it had a smooth friction to it. (I was expecting it to be undamped and friction-free. ) free. ) But, once again, the designers of this arm are well-versed in their craft. When the wheel is gripped and used to move the arm, the damped wheel provides incredibly smooth zoom and precise control. When the arm is moved without gripping the wheel, the result is much smoother and more precise zooming. br>br>Congratulations to the item's designer and manufacturer for nailing it!.
It's simple, but it does the job well. The lever is made of sheet metal, and the ring has several perforations around it that you can hook into depending on how big your lens is. There's also some thin foam around the inside of the ring to protect the fit and finish of your lens, though you can tell they cut corners here. The foam is thin, but it should be simple to replace if necessary. br>br>The focus assist works exactly as you'd expect - it helps you focus. When zooming or focusing, the lever allows for smooth, even movements. The unit's size surprised me (the lever is probably 4" long), but that's a good thing because the larger the radius the lever creates, the smoother your controls will be. However, it is not so large that it is inconvenient. br>br>I would recommend this assist lever to anyone who pulls focus solely with the barrel of their lens. By no means will it be able to replace a rack focus, but at this price, its utility outweighs its cost.
My contacts aren't going to work. One of my lenses is the only one that will fit. br>br>DOES NOT FIT: br>br>DOES NOT FIT: br>br>DOES NOT Nikonbr>24mm f/1 Nikonbr>Nikonbr>Nikonbr>Nikonbr>Nikonbr>Nikonbr> f/1, 4br>35mm 50mm f/1, 4br> 8Dbr>58mm f/1, 8Dbr>58mm f/1, 8Dbr>58mm f 85mm f/1, 4br> 4

On Amazon, this is the most effective zoom handle. The other one lacks the small metal circular finger grip that rotates with the handle as you move it, allowing the lens to zoom while your finger grips it and turns the handle in one motion. I only tried it out for a short period of time. After you've fitted it, apply some pressure to the clamp device so that it bends and sticks. It appears to be going to pop off and not stay at first. All you have to do is tighten it up and let it bend a little, and it'll be fine. My zooms in and out on a STOCK Canon lens are as smooth as a television or a mechanical zoom, but with greater accuracy. This is something I really enjoy. It arrived quickly, and I'm using it with a DMKFoto Heavy Duty Ball Head with Quick Release Plate. For DSLR budget filmmaking and photography, this is a match made in heaven. When zooming in and out, there isn't any jerking. It delivered on time and did exactly what was advertised.
It's functional, but it's made shoddily. The ring's foam lining is only loosely taped to the metal frame, so any lateral forces (such as pushing this device onto your lens focus ring - see below) will damage it. Instead of wrapping the device around the ring, the foam can be displaced. br>br>Aside from that, it has a good grip and the metal weight at the end of the stalk is a nice touch.
It does a good job. To get a good lock, you need to make sure it's on square. On a Canon T3i rebel, I used this. This enables smooth zooming and focusing.
