On the Nikon website, your lens uses a 72mm filter, so using this cap should do the trick.
Designed for use with DSLR cameras, the 72mm lens cap do not think any P series cameras have threads for receiving a lens cap like this (I have a P350).
There are some numbers on the outer end of your lens, and one of these is the diameter of the lens cowling where the cap goes. The 72mm should fit just fine if the description says so.
There are two main types of fighter jets Photographed with a DSLR camera and S Nikkor 200-AF It takes a 95mm cap to fit the 500.

I purchased an inexpensive knockoff lens cap at a local big box store to replace it. Definitely not a good idea! As a replacement, it was difficult to apply to the lens, and it was not guaranteed not to fall off, which is unacceptable. Although it wasn't eligible for Prime delivery, this particular Nikon lens cap arrived four days earlier than it had been previously estimated, and it fits perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased with the ease of getting on and off with just one motion. It would have been better to order this lens cap sooner rather than later. Now, my recycle bin is a home to the cheap replacement cap!.
Lenses with 6G VR. My Lens Cap was lost so I had to buy a new one. My prior two off-brands did not fit - until I found this. I found it to be perfectly fitting. The Nikon AF-S version of this fits my Nikon D800 The NIKKOR/P DX NIKKOR 10 I took this picture with a 20mm f/4 lens. VR lens with 6G resolution.
As described by Amazon, I ordered what was marketed as a genuine Nikon LC-D A lens cap for the 72mm lens Due to the low price, I went with them instead of the sellers who were asking for more. The quality of a product is determined by its price. Although it appears to work well, it doesn't seem to stay on my Nikon lenses as firmly as my genuine ones.
This is what I use with my Nikon NIKON AF-S NIKKOR ED 24-S VR I took this photo with an 85mm f/3 lens. I tried 5G and it worked The front cap of the lens needed to be replaced because I bought it used. Since the front lens element sits so close to the lens cap, I was a bit wary of buying one from the internet and not directly from Nikon. However, this copy is exactly the same as the old one, so that's no problem now.
There is a center pinch feature on this lens cap that makes it nice if you're using a long lens hood and you are unable to reach down and remove a standard lens cap. It is almost touching the front element when you put it on due to the central pinch feature. Nevertheless, there are internal mechanisms inside the cap that take up space, which is why it blocks the display. It is relatively easy to touch the front element of the lens if there is even a slight breeze of the hand and the cap is mounted even a little off center. The only mark that was left on my hand was a small scratch that I easily removed with a microfiber cloth after this occurred. As glass is much harder than plastic, it is still safe for the lens to be covered with a cap, but it's still a hassle to have to be so precise when I hold As well, if the lens cap were to be dropped on the front, the front element would not get much clearance between it and the cap, which may be one reason why the shocks are transferred to the front element instead of absorbing them. In addition, this problem only occurs in lenses where the front element is very close to the front mount, so if your lens has good clearance between the front element and the front of the enclosure, you do not need to worry about this.
Buying a Nikon Lens Cover at a fraction of the cost from a camera store or other online sources was an excellent choice for me. It is virtually impossible to tell the difference between this lens cover and the original factory Both of you will be unable to do so. The tension of the lens frame is excellent. Since I travel extensively, I didn't let this one fall from my lens once. Zip-lining in Maui, spelunking in Kentucky, bouncing in a long distance boat race in the middle of Lake Michigan, floating the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, and mountain hunting for Dall sheep in the Brooks Range of Alaska are some examples. We are not selling a cheap copy of this. If I lost the original, then how was it possible to do so? We were shooting pictures at a wedding and it was on a counter when we snapped a candid photograph. I apologize for my mistake.
A fake cap was obtained. There is no country of origin, the movements are jerky, and the sound is really grating. (Sold by Amazon) purchased directly from the site.
It isn't a center pinch cap as shown in the photo, it's a rear pinch A lens cap that fit poorly on my lens used to not lock, no matter how closely it was placed. I had to replace it with this one. My lens locks and bites perfectly every time I place it over my lens, and it sits perfectly. This is a great protection for my Lenses $600 and up! Contrary to what the photo shows, this cap has a center pinch. The product I purchased assumed it was a center pinch, since I specifically wanted a center pinch.
