When the rear lens caps are missing or broken, these work great to replace them. The rear lens cap sometimes does not come with rare lenses that I buy used. These caps can also be used with lens adapter rings (if you have lenses designed for another camera mount type). This allows you to continue using the adapter rings with your lenses and use these caps to protect them from damage The original cap does not need to be removed and the adapter ring attached, so there is less changeover time. The same method also makes it easier for me to swap lenses on my camera, since all I have to do is move the cap from one lens to another. This is the picture you can see I keep the Nikon lens mounted to that adapter ring, which is a Nikon to Canon EF adapter ring. There are plenty of people who use pouches or wrap their lenses in cloth rather than a rear lens cap, but those options won't provide as much physical protection, and they are more likely to let dust and debris settle on the lens and then make their way.

The mount on all my cameras is either a native Canon EF mount or an adapted I have been collecting vintage lenses with Nikon or M42 mounts for many years, but I have been mounting Canon EF adapters on them, effectively making them fit EF mounts. All the Canon lenses I have are protected with these rear lens caps While I thought I wouldn't need all five types of glasses, my vision changed so I now need five types of glasses. As of now, every one of them is In comparison to the original Canon rear lens caps, there are no definable issues with fit or quality.

For the price, this item is excellent. The Fotosy rear lens cover fits Canon EOS EF/EFS cameras, and dates from On October 21, 2019

I think the factory Canon lens caps are better looking, but I don't think it matters since its price is so cheap I still gave it five The difference is that the factory cap engages about 1/2" of the lugs before it is fully tightened whereas the Fotasy only engages 1/8" of the lugs before it is fully tightened. The system feels more secure because of this. The same amount of effort is required to loosen both, so it does not make a difference how they are used. I like how it fits. The lens is compatible with both Canon EF and EF-S lenses Optical lenses with S characteristics. This is one of the few things in your bag you never seem to be able to find when you need it, so it's nice to have some spares.

As a replacement, I highly recommend these lenses if you buy used lenses that do not have rear covers.
