I have used it on my Smallrig Z7 cage

It fulfills a need you may not have realized you had. If you are not using longer lenses, it really isn't a necessity since the current Z lens is so small. It takes unscrewing the Z lenses from the adapter before you can put them back in place once the adapter is in place. The good news is that the longer Nikkor lenses put a little more weight on the body or are more difficult to swap out.

The fit is perfect

The adapter fits perfectly to my FTZ adapter and is used as an extra mounting point for my camera rail. I leave the cage on the camera all the time the SmallRig cage for a Nikon Z cameras must be installed first then the support. If you are using the SmallRig cage on the camera you first have to install the FTZ first then this support.

The reason I use this is not to use a lens adapter but to have more mounting points near the The rig now balances on its own without the weight being applied to the lens as it stands up, thanks to the flattened flash bracket attached to the mount point.
