Only R mount bodies are compatible with this adapter.
The adapter works perfectly on the EOS R to allow Canon EF lenses to be used with it. The first adapter I ordered was this one, but I returned it and chose the control ring one instead. There is no control ring on this model, so it basically is the same thing. There is no need to pay the difference if you can't or don't want to. The focus speed or quality of the image is not affected. I even find that the EOS R's autofocus is more accurate than the one on DSLRs, so I am able to use my EF lenses with this adapter without any problems.
Looks like the adapter is in good shape, and I assume it will work well as well. However, I was under the impression that I was paying full price for the product. I am a little annoyed about this because I like to keep the covers on when not in use to protect it from the weather. Also, the lens mount on the RF lens is different from the one on the EF (hence the adapter needed), so I can't just use any old caps I've got lying It feels like I have not purchased everything I need.
Taking advantage of Canon's recent deal, the company recently thrown in the Canon Mount Adapter EF-F In this full-length essay, I outlined how my entry worked With an accumulated collection of fine EF and EF-S lenses, I delved into the world of mirrorless As a result, I was able to take the opportunity to improve my photography abilities. It works like a charm - thank you Since it doesn't do anything but pass everything from the lens to the sensor, it doesn't do anything itself. It's clear to see that the pictures are Fit lenses to the lens mount.
This adapter works well for attaching an EF lens to this body however, the auto focus is a bit of a hassle to use. I used autofocus to capture a macro photograph from a distance. However, the auto focus is limited to a few small increments on the EOS R with this adapter ring. I mean even at close-up range, if I am at a focus distance of a foot away and want to focus on a subject closer, I cannot acquire focus without turning the focus ring to get in close range, or by holding down auto focus and gradually moving in. Thus, just keep an eye out for It kind of works, as I said. The workaround is well known to me. It takes a little extra work to make it work, but it does.
Canon EF compatible lenses can be used on the EOS R and RP cameras when this adapter is attached. Almost all my old Canon 7D-compatible lenses will work with the EOS RP, as well as Sigma lenses and other third-party ones. It is your choice whether to try out the Canon EOS R series of full-frame In the case of cameras with full-frame sensors, this adapter is well worth having even if you do not own any You need to frame the There is a huge catalog of Canon EF compatible lenses, and they tend to be cheaper than the few native RP lenses currently available. This book is highly.
New in the box. It worked as expected when converting my Canon 5D lenses to fit the EOS R cameras. It replaced my Canon 5D lenses with EF lenses. As an amateur photographer, I was blown away by the capability of using third-party lenses like Sigma Art lenses to achieve It is true that when using the Sigma Art lenses, there is a loss of focusing points of about 20%, but since most photos were taken within that 80% box, it was not a great problem. Continuous focus causes a sound to be heard as the EF lens focuses, but this is to be.
I expected this to work. My review is being edited. This adapter does not retract the lens after taking a picture with your EOS R, so people should be aware of that when you use it to fit your lens to the EOS R. That's at least not the case for mine. An inconvenience compared to the cost of the same lens that would fit my R, I am unable to sell my 24 to 70 lens for a much lower price. It is possible that I may change my mind in the future?.
