The non-alcoholic version is much more appealing to me. WELLMAKING umbrella light stand holder is more metallic than any other metal umbrella light stand holder I have. Due to the increased depth of the top and bottom adapter ports, the WELLMAKING provides greater mounting flexibility, allowing all types of devices that benefit from a swivel to be mounted to the light stand. The WELLMAKING is on the left in my photo of both holders. The WELLMAKING ports have a combined depth of 1. 5" and 1. 3". The metal holder ports are 1 inch in diameter. 2" and . The depth is 75 inches. Both of the adapters on display are well-suited to the WELLMAKING. When the shorter adapter is placed in the 1, the thumbscrew on the metal holder tightens down on the collar of the shorter adapter. The 2" port, as well as any equipment mounted on it, is thrown at an angle. In the, it performs significantly better. Although the port is 75" long, it extends well beyond the holder.
So I was planning on buying another one, but when I saw that these came as a pair and cost the same as one, I realized why. It works, but it's a little loose on the light stand, and it's not well built. These are just ok, and if you're not moving the lights around and the lights aren't outside, they'll suffice.
This was required to install my LCD light panel. I really wanted a swivel head because I wanted to be able to adjust it up and down easily. I needed to change the direction of my light in this case. If you buy a tripop, you'll also need this piece if you want to move your light source or camera at a different angle (downward or upward). In addition, the cost is very reasonable.
These are well-made, durable, and powerful.
It would be better if it were made of a heaver metal.
It's simple and effective. There isn't much more to say on the subject. It fit perfectly on my light stand, and I was able to use an umbrella with it.
I use the Frio Universal Locking Cold Shoe Mount with this Light Stand Bracket. I prefer the Frio mount to brackets with built-in cold shoe mounts.
