Questions & Answers

Are you able to use the bracket with the Canon ?

Located on the bottom of the camera, the 1/4" tripod mount thread is fitted with this bracket. The M10 will attach if it has the thread.

Would I be able to use my own cold shoe if I detached the shoe?

It is possible to remove the cold shoe

What are the compatibility options for this with the Canon power shot SX60? What is the method for triggering a flash?

A "cold" shoe is all it is. Flashes do not occur for no apparent reason. For this purpose, a cable or some other remote triggering device will be necessary.

Is it possible to attach two cameras to my computer instead of a flash (if they are small)?

In short, yes. During a flash photo, the flash shoe is removed. Just checked, and the two Olympus cameras I have can fit side by side on the bar. A maximum of two screws can be used. The first 5 are complete. The spacing between each member should be 5".

The mounting of a microphone externally (another absolute necessity) is an absolute necessity for the operation of There is no hot shoe on most consumer camcorders and the external microphone is necessary. On the picture (left) is the camera mounted on a tripod, but this can be quickly changed and mounted on the right (for use with the hand grip), while the microphone is mounted on Under each mount is a screw hole that can be used to attach a tripod. There is no doubt that this piece of equipment is very solid and the price is all You'll enjoy it.

Exactly what I was looking for
5/5

I modified this for use with a magic arm (11") as well as for use with an iMac. As a result, I had to use my own bolt to keep the arm and flash from rotating when changing the orientation of the camera. I also had to cut off the rubber padding so that I could go metal to metal During the time the rubber was still on my arm, it spun. A heavy set of pliers was used to create torque using metal on metal. With the bracket permanently attached to the magic arm, the arm is now permanently attached.
Since the securing bolt for the camera body connection has its own female thread, I can attach an ARCA Swiss plate to this fitting, so that if necessary, I can mount this on a tripod. In most cases, this type of setup is used for macro photography of insects in the field. I would not have to make any of these changes if I was using it strictly as designed. That it needed to be modified so I could get it to do what I needed is good news for me.

Flash bracket made from scratch
5/5

The second time I have been a This piece of equipment is used to mount my Strobies 360 flash unit on my mobile device while using it as an on-camera flash. It was the dangling wireless receiver that caused the issue with that setup. This is the second of the three CBs An order for 600 was simply to receive a screw for fixing the wireless receiver to the It would be more convenient to use the setup with a pistol grip, though it would add a few notches to the layout. I'm sure Vello can design/offer a bracket that will work for you. [L" available An upright handle or bracket with square designs would be too tall and intrusive]

A simple method for mounting a microphone on a camera
5/5

It's most likely that the mic on your camcorder is not up to snuff. Utilize this bracket to attach a microphone to an external device. Depending on the position of the long axis of the camcorder, you can mount it either lengthwise or crosswise. In fact, I usually mount it lengthwise so the mic is inline with the camcorder, and facing my mouth if I am narrating. In interviews, I aim the mic forward to catch the sound that is coming from the front. I found that to be very helpful. Additionally, both the screw of the camera and the screw of the cold shoe are 1/4-inch Added flexibility due to the 20 threads on the bottom. You could, for instance, attach a tripod plate, a light, a recorder, a monitor, yet another cold shoe, and so on to this cold shoe. Isn't it great that it's so cheap and convenient!.

Almost too long, but it still It is actually possible to wear the cold shoe
4/5

My other version (from a different vendor) was the perfect length and weight for me. The cold shoe was unusable because it did not accommodate the pin depth of my flash because it was too shallow to accept it. There was a fixture I had to add. There is no problem fitting the flash into this one. My only wish is for the skirt to be shorter and a little The product is well built and does its job well.

An Adaptable Product
5/5

I had previously purchased another product from another vendor, but that product wasn't appropriate or easily adaptable to my needs of mounting a full sized TTL flash and an LED light for night macrophotographs.

This item has proven to be virtually ideal for use with a Goliton dual end straight bracket in that way. It is my recommendation for anyone who is searching for an efficient lighting solution for macrophotography in the field.

A great way to set up macros
5/5

A diffuser that I use for macro photography was mounted on top of my flash and I did not like it. My laptop is top-heavy and awkward. I had to mount the Vello bracket on the side in order to make it more comfortable. I find it more comfortable now. This is how I will now use an add-on flash whenever I use one.

A solid foundation
5/5

This bracket appears to be solid. Whenever I am going for a certain look, I bought this so that I can get my flash right next to the lens. In this case, the flash is positioned higher than it needs to be. My problem could be solved by purchasing a battery grip for my DSLR, but that is not the bracket's fault. It is rubbery on the top and appears to be solid. It is possible to remove and rotate the cold shoe. If you prefer, you can even attach a hot shoe extension in its place. Regardless, you must be able to trigger your flash either wirelessly or with a hit shoe extension to make it work.
