Questions & Answers

The kit lens that came with my Sony A5000 is 16mm in diameter A 55mm is all I have a 40 is all I have. This filter has a 5mm diameter. This step up ring would be a good fit for my camera, right?

A 40 will work for you. If your lens has a 5mm female thread, then this step upring has a 40mm female thread. You screw a 49mm filter into the stepup ring with a 5mm male thread. On the other side of the stepup ring, there are 49mm female threads, so that you can screw a 5mm male thread into it. These are the ones I use for my A6000's 16GB I therefore have the option to use 49mm filters with my 50mm lens. However, you might need a 49mm lens hood on the worst-case scenario if you intend to use it with the lens

It would be great if you could put a filter over it to keep the glass protected. ?

But when I went online to look at pictures of your Coolpix P520, I found a few errors. The removal does not look like a "normal" removal - In short, it looks like you should contact Nikon with your question, based on what I can find in a quick search. I wish you the best of As far as my case goes, I had some old 58mm filters I wanted to use with my new camera, so this adapter allowed me to do so. Filters in 58mm size are attached to the adapter, and then the adapter is attached to the 52mm

Any time you place a piece of glass in front of a lens, the quality of the image will be compromised
4/5

In your question, you asked if it is better to use 49 mm filters with the adapter ring instead of 40 mm. For 5 mm without the adapter ring, you would be able to answer the following question There is no discernible difference. A much better selection of 49 mm filters will be available, and you will be able to use them with smaller lenses as well.

This accessory is an inexpensive way to extend the versatility of your filter
3/5

When you use an adapter ring for the Canon "L" series lenses and those few lenses, like, for example, the Canon 70-200mm, you can use a filter that is sized for 77mm thread. The 300 F3 is a 3-element lens. It's a 5L thread that uses a smaller diameter. When you are buying professional grade filters, such as Marumi or B+W, which can cost $100 or more for a CPL, it's nice to be able to use your 77mm filter on your other lenses that use smaller diameter threads. Please take caution This adapter ring shouldn't be as problematic but if you planned to use it only with telephoto lenses of 70mm and more, then you won't need to worry about it. Make sure that the lens, adapter, and filter combination won't cause vignetting by taking some "test" shots before the actual photo There is no significant difference in the quality of the product. If you drop the ring on a hard surface such as tile, stone, or concrete, you could damage the ring, since the metal is not particularly thick. I was able to thread the needle The transition was no more smooth than you'd get with a B&W filter, but the lens adapter ring didn't cost 100 dollars Pay what you want and you get what you need. CHECK YOUR FILTER AND ADAPTER BEFORE SCREWING TIGHT! ALSO, make sure your lens adapter is not tightened down onto the lens! It is not uncommon for filter threads to bind up and become hard to remove by hand without the use of In fact, I can even do it with my Canon "L" series lenses and B&W filters. After you have finished the filter, tighten the screw assembly just enough to keep all the parts in place without wobbling, and you should be able to unscrew the filter with no difficulty. Thus, I would recommend any photographer who uses any kind of filter on their lenses to pick up a set of filter wrenches and simply store them alongside the filters or lenses they use. The next time your filter gets stuck, even though you twist it hard, you will not be able to remove it by hand, provided you don't carry filter wrenches.

What I mean is
5/5

You'll be able to fit a filter in it. In my experience, it does what is says it will and holds filters perfectly fine. I used this to step down a 77mm polar pro ND filter to a Fuji 18-55mm telephoto lens This lens is part of the 55mm kit. That's what it does. The filter gets stuck on the step ring and I can't remove it. You don't have a lot of money if you If you don't mind spending a few minutes taking the ring off your filter, this will do the trick. Instead of aluminum step rings that are cheaper, invest in a brass step ring if you need a quality step ring for a professional environment. Feel free to check out some of the step rings made by sensei pro if you're looking for good inexpensive The ones I have are a little stickier, but nothing like this. Brass step rings are also available from Sensei Pro, and all of their step rings come with GOOD plastic storage cases.

Whenever you shout, the ring goes up
5/5

It is recommended that you turn the adapter ring counter-clockwise before using it By slightly pressing down on your lens as you turn it clockwise, the threads will settle in and you will hear a slight "click. " You can tighten it up by doing so. The adapter will arrive square to the threads this way, and you will be able to prevent cross-threading. The threading process.

Putting a 77mm filter on a 72mm lens is quite simple
5/5

We tried exchanging messages, but did not receive a A guy pops up and makes everything all right. Take care when putting it on, it can be hard to take off if it's too tight. The best money I have spent on a problem solution, plus since I did not have to exchange the ND filter, I can use it on my 77mm diameter lens and with the adapter, I can use it on my 72mm diameter lens as well.

The Goja 58-inch polarizing filter is a great buy
5/5

I was about to spend a small fortune on two polarizing filters when I realized the Goja 58-inch would work great This step is 77mm tall It was best to use an adapter ring up. Thank you so much for sharing this item with me. There's no need to spend a lot on it since it works great.
