Two out of the three threads jammed, so I sent back my first pair. There is a jam in both in the replacement set. You can see where the rings are spot welded on the threads after a very close inspection. It appears that the threads of the filter are catching on the welds. As a result of the harder material, there's a concern that the filter could cross thread or damage your expensive filter. My rings were faulty and I returned them. I have paid for rings that are better crafted.

With my Hoya ND filter, I used it once, and it is now completely stuck to the Thus far, it hasn't been possible to get it off. I am desperately trying to get it off. It would be easier if I could grip this with a rubber sheet. If there were some kind of grippy edges on it, that would be greatly improved.

It was a great deal for the price. However, they are not flimsy, but they are very light. They should work well if you are careful when screwing or unscrewing, and don't over tighten them.
I wouldn't recommend them for heavy professional usage, but they should be fine for light usage. I found the value for the price to be excellent.
