Diaphragms are used to correct your vision while looking through the viewfinder, and they can be purchased from most camera stores. I had good results with 0 on my computer. Despite being quite tight fit and difficult to get on for a short amount of time, I was able to use it with my N6006 and my eyes now have better focus.

It will not fit onto the diopter with a rubber eyepiece

Viewing through the viewfinder while wearing prescription glasses may cause your glasses to interfere. To solve this problem, diopter correction lenses lets you see in focus through the viewfinder without wearing your The viewing through the viewfinder when it is out of focus even after adjusting the diopter control is a good indication that one of these correction lenses might be necessary. When choosing one, how do you know which one to choose? Consider the following example If you are prescribed You will get a - for a 50 (nearsighted) The lens has a diopter of 4. Nevertheless, once you have attached the diopter to your eye, the rubber eyepiece will NOT fit over it. The design of this page seems to have been overlooked. There is something missing from this page. Maybe I can remove some of the plastic from the rubber eyepiece that prevents it from mounting flush with the camera body but it will not slide on to the diopter Since there are diopter lenses between them, the diopter lens will jut out. In terms of aesthetics, having no rubber padding fit over the diopter has to be considered as a minor inconvenience. This product does what it is intended to do to correct focus without wearing glasses, so if you need to get Using the correction diopter after it has been installed and after it has been adjusted here is a hint 2.

This Nikon diopter is for hand held use
3/5

Whenever a Nikon product is used as specified, it functions precisely as it should, however in the case of the diopter, you can only add it after removing the rubber lens cover. By doing so you can now see the object, but the reflection on the lens is glaring. In my case, I modified mine so that it can slide over the viewing lens and still have the rubber lens cover to prevent glare. It required 2 minutes of modifcation and looks and works like a Nikon product. I don't know what they are doing wrong.
