As I mentioned above, I was VERY suspicious when it came to ordering this unit due to the price difference over the Canon product. It ALSO came with TWO batteries and an extra tray that could be used with AA batteries as an emergency backup. That led me to believe it was just much less expensive than the Canon Battery Grip. I'm an amateur photographer who owns a Canon EOS 70D camera as well as a BlackRapid camera harness with two cameras attached to one shoulder and several different In addition to the Speedlight 600, I use You can use a flash file. When looking at the Canon Battery Grip side by side with the DSTE, one cannot visually tell whether the materials or workmanship differ. Both work equally well when tested and therefore the huge price difference should not be the result of a difference in quality. The best professional basketball game of all time It is a great deal to get the E14 Vertical Battery Grip with two extra batteries! Due to my large size I have Shrek-esque hands. I am 6'3" and 250 lbs. Since I have read comments about having large hands to use the Battery Grip comfortably, I actually disagree with that notion. It is very easy for me to use this battery grip, despite my big hands! This vertical battery grip is a great addition to this already great deal, as I plan on shooting a 80th celebration indoors that will consume a lot of battery power. I was already carrying batteries, but the ones this bundle allows me to use are a welcome addition as well. I am shocked at the price of the DSTE VBG after using it instead of Canon's I cannot believe the price! There is no doubt in my mind that I would purchase this product again.
Canon EOS 80D camera only recently became available to me, and I wanted to purchase a battery that would provide twice the battery life. My Canon EOS 80D batteries already have long lives but this will double them. Each tray in the base fits into a different slot. Two trays allow one to hold AA batteries and the other to hold LP batteries Those batteries are E6N. A AA battery adapter can be helpful when all of your batteries have been exhausted. However, the life of the adapter is much shorter than other options. As part of the Much better results are obtained using E6N. The grip gives you flexibility when it comes to holding it vertically. In addition to its longer battery life, it further increases your battery's life. Although it has the same functionality as your standard shutter, there are no focusing buttons, no shutter speed adjustment, no zoom, etc. The tradeoff is size and additional A perfect fit into the base of the 80D, the 80D-90D. There is a compartment cover on the 80D that you can lock onto the side of the battery interface to prevent losing it. Attaching a tripod is easy thanks to a port at the bottom of the base. There is a lot of balance and it is Despite the higher price, battery life is just as good as OEM, and the price is pretty competitive, too. If you are skeptical that third party accessories are just as good as OEM, then I can use this for my camera with no problems.
*The fit is excellent (see note at bottom). While I don't have the Canon version to compare it to, in examining it and after watching YouTube reviews to know what to look for, I believe that it is accurate. Finally, you should One should acknowledge that this version of the Canon grip is not as smooth as it was on the Canon version, but if inexpensive is the aim, one has to make allowances for that. The operation is Several of the buttons for use in vertical mode feel different, not Canon quality, but forgivable at this price. My main complaint is the main wheel, which is plastic instead of rubber, and is noisy when it moves. It seems like it could break without a lot of warning. The value returned by the software is accurate, however, in that it returns stop increments that are the same as those returned by the Canon main wheel, A further problem is that the large wheel which attaches this object to the camera "bottoms out" when securing it into the camera and then flops around during use. Suppose a quarter-size group of people arrive at the center In the case of the 20 threaded bolt that attaches it to the tripod receiver at the base of the camera, if it were half a millimeter shorter, it would fit tightly and feel tight. It has no effect on the connection to the camera, though, since it fits extremely snug inside the socket without any twist or looseness (see Compared to other non-remote units, there are two very positive features of this one One of the advantages of OEM offerings in the same price range is that the battery contacts are gold-plated The battery unit is metal instead of plastic inside and the floors are metal. Located at the base of the unit is a round threaded nut that screws onto the tripod mount. The floor of this unit is also made of metal. A few other units thread a metal round bolt into the unit and then attach it to a piece of plastic on the floor. I chose this product because the fact that it has to be used exclusively on a tripod sold Using your notes as a reference An excellent fit was slightly distorted by a slight deviation. When it joined at the right front corner, in other words where your pinky would be holding it with your right hand, there was a slight movement where it did not make a tight connection. As far as functionality is concerned, it is no problem. in an effort to get rid of little things like that, I made up a one-way tarp from gaffer tape One piece - Just at the corner, add a thick layer to act as a shim. The belt is now very tight, and it doesn't move. There's a good chance that this is just a glitch with this particular camera, and that nobody else will see it either. The batteries included in this package are the same ones that I obtained as spares a couple of years ago and have used regularly without any According to the camera, the remaining charge, charge reliability, and shutter count accurately reflect the state of the batteries. There is no one-to-one sequence in which the camera uses one battery, but I still don't know what the algorithm is for determining when to use which battery. If you do not need a Canon snob and are in the market for a solid camera you would be a fool if you did not consider this over their much more expensive model Here's more information Offering on the expensive side.
I only ordered it because it comes with a spare. It does what it claims to do. I had previously bought a battery grip for my 70D that I thought was a little better. There is some difficulty when removing the battery carriage from the laptop due to the battery release switch, however it works. bought this because of the spare batteries included and they charge perfectly. I have yet to put 100 images on my new camera, so I can't comment on how long the batteries last. The battery grip is a lot more shiny than the camera itself, but not a big deal. An absolute deal-breaker. If you're looking to extend the power of your camera, this is a good deal.
