Surprised in a good way
5/5

Even though I read a lot of great and poor reviews for the pen, I would still leave good feedback because it removed a small scrap of dirt and a tiny fragment of dirt or real hair that was impossible to remove with anything else. As a first step, let me say I wanted to stay away from liquid cleaning products because it appears they leave residue on many surfaces in many instances but this pen leaves no residue or scratches. Although, I must admit that when I took the test shot, I saw where the dirt specs and the hairlike object were so I could clean them. I blow each lens and other device in my camera with a pressurized air brush machine that my father owns (gently), and by itself it cannot get rid of these specs. In the end I followed the directions on the pen and blew it out, but I was shocked to discover it actually added more dirt spots than before, dozens of them, but the hair-like Wow, I had no idea what to expect. Once again, I repeated the process, gave it a little extra cleaning with the pen, then took another test shot, and the dirt on this shot was half as bad as the second. Thus, I said, "I see what's happening. I'm pushing dirt away from the edges of the CCD bit by bit, so I went over again and blew the CCD with compressed air, followed by another pass with the brush and the pen, then blew again. ". It appears there is only 1 tiny spec out of dozens left in another test shot. point, my pen will do the job 99% of the time, and if there are any more specs in the shots, I will photoshop them out. But so far my shots look 99% better than before and I am grateful that I purchased it.

For some DSLR cameras, this item is a must-have
4/5

A Nikon D40 sensor cleaner I purchased from a camera store was a necessity because I fly with it and the strong wind blows dust onto it. This cleaner pen has made my life so much easier, because no longer do I have to worry about blurry spots all over my photos. As for this one, I bought it from Amazon when I upgraded to a D5100 camera, but so far that one is still dust resistant. Glad I bought it just in case, though. The cap keeps it clean and ready for use, yet it is small and easy to carry. Blowing the sensor first and then using a soft brush and blowing again is advised, followed by lightly squeezing the pen because there is a possibility that you can scratch your sensor if there is a little piece of hard material It is unlikely, but it is worth taking some precautions to prevent it. It would make me even happier if the price was half what it is now, and maybe then all DSLR owners would be interested in buying Even though I paid for it, I am glad I have it on hand.

This is a better option than the wet systems
4/5

My sensor was made dozens of times dirtier by the Eclipse solution and swabs, causing smears and spots to appear where none existed prior to use. SensorKlear has been very helpful to me after using the four swabs that came in the package without success. As opposed to Eclipse, this is a dry system that will not smear dirt. I had my sensors clean after only two applications. I give it 4 1/2 stars because it is a great product. In spite of this, I would have given it five stars, but deducted two because the pen doesn't last very long and needs to be replaced or refilled frequently. Although it is more expensive, it is still much less expensive than purchasing the wet system swabs, which cost four dollars each.

This is a great method of cleaning sensors
5/5

Using the lenspen Sensor Klear is cheap, easy and allows for a wider range of creative applications Cleans planes with plane Getting a camera sensor clean (the filter in front of the sensor) is trickier than it sounds if you are not confident enough to do it, leave it alone. But if you feel up to it, you will find a number of options to do so, and you may cause a wreck with any of them, depending on your skill level and experience. In addition to being easy and safe, using this item will make the task of cleaning a sensor easier and more efficient. This carbon compound is used in the tip to absorb liquids in the sensor and remove sticky dust that a blower is not able to remove. In terms of its size, it is the size of a normal pen, so it won't take up much space in your luggage and won't interfere with your flights. Cleaning tips are designed to make it easier for you to reach the sensor corners. They are flexible and replaceable as well. Remember, the brush does not clean the sensor it is only the tip that does so. Read the instructions carefully before using this device. When the rear element of the lens is dirty, the brush is used to clean the lens mount, lens contacts, and contacts on the rear element of the lens. You must not press firmly on this item on the sensor, I repeat, otherwise you will move it from its place and that will cause a major issue. As long as you follow the instructions on the back of the packaging or the video of how to use it on the Lenspen official site, you will be fine. * If you're looking for a simple and cheap way to clean a sensor, then this is the item you need.

Considering its nature, this is a good thing
3/5

In spite of what the advertisement suggests, cleaning the D700 sensor is not as easy as it seems. The D700 I own has seen all kinds of weather conditions, and I've been using it since over a year ago. It works perfectly, and is exactly what it should be. As far as the Sensorclear is concerned, it does not work so well, since reaching the sensor, observing it, and getting the corners of the image takes some finesse. But I trust it not to ruin the optical glass or sensor, so in that sense, it's very useful. If you have dust bunnies on your sensor, you won't be able to clean them in 30 seconds.
