Canon LP-E8 Battery Pack for Canon Digital Rebel T2i and T3i Digital SLR Cameras (Retail Package)

In order to minimize the risk of buying a counterfeit item, I bought this battery from Amazon instead of a third party. It doesn't show a full battery after charging with the Canon battery charger that came with my T4i, but it does show a partially charged battery, like two bars out of three. In one continuous video recording, I recorded for an hour. Use a flash for the first 5 hours of the battery’s life. Then recharge Well, the T4i shows that the battery is still partially charged. Despite the fact that I am allowed to keep Canon batteries for 30 days, I kept the battery 2 days longer than the limit because I assumed the battery was genuine, that nothing would go wrong, and that I would use it for my daughter's birthday. It is disappointing for me.

So I bought these two to replace them. As it happens, these will also not hold a charge. Whenever I try to take photos with my camera, I find that the batteries have died. It works by charging the batteries and when the charger is first put into the camera, the icon shows that the batteries are fully charged. Both batteries were charged for 24 hours hoping that might fix the problem, but no change has been made. Because they were expensive, I charge them both the night before I am going to take pictures, and it has worked so far. The spontaneous shots that I have missed, like this morning's deer walk along the wood's edge in the fresh snow and neither battery would be able to power it up.

Canon assisted me with the issue since the item did not fit in the camera. As a result of asking for photos, the item turned out to be These items are usually not shipped from Amazon and Amazon does not verify the authenticity of the product. When I bought from Amazon, I didn't realize this would have been the case, and I would have either bought from somewhere else, or if I could tolerate one, I would have If you are an OEM, get an OEM that you can rely on An OEM at a lower price is acceptable. However, a fake at 80% of the original Despite the refund from the seller and Amazon, nothing is being done to stop the production of fakes so the next person is almost as likely to be burned as me. Reading some reviews, it seems that even Amazon. com said the same thing. After I discovered that Amazon. com was shipping counterfeit batteries, I was leery about ordering a Canon camera battery from them. Although I bought that counterfeit battery from the auction site, I probably should have been more skeptical than I was at the time. I had had bad experiences with counterfeit batteries in the past. That being the case, I was unwilling to order from anyone else It was so difficult to order it directly from Canon website that I was about to order it from Amazon at more than double the cost of the Canon battery. I bought a Canon laptop from Amazon. com (and it was on sale for 20% off). As I was unwilling to pay that much for a battery, I ordered it from Amazon I was going to thoroughly examine it to make sure it was genuine. Once I received the battery, I carefully inspected it along with its packaging and compared it to various counterfeit Canon batteries on the web. Now that I have completed all of that, I can be 100% certain the battery I received from Amazon is the actual one. The battery I purchased from Amazon is one of many lower cost alternatives. I chose the Amazon vendor specifically because there were others with lower prices. My thinking was that it would be an authentic Canon battery if I purchased it directly from Amazon. Although I received a Canon battery, it was not from the brand. Even after prying the battery out of its case, it took several minutes to remove the yellow plastic My first clue was that Canon batteries usually pop in and out of the backing with little effort. I would like to purchase a generic battery how should I go about it In the end, I would have chosen a lower cost vendor and would have paid $30 for the battery instead of paying $45 for the battery Amazon received this battery and I returned it.

I believe today's batteries may not be those of the correct brand. It seems that the battery doesn't last very It takes forever for the charge to finish. you may be able to earn a profit if you purchase a lot.

There is a label on the battery that says retail packaging. This is a used battery in a zip-lock bag. Here is a picture of the attachment. Despite the fact that the ads does not specify whether it's new or used, the message is clearly that it's As this was a retail package, I expected the battery to be new. The download is to be used for the next 30 days, and if any issues arise I will return it using my prime return privileges if necessary.
