Questions & Answers

Hello, what is the measurement of internal air space? I have two Alpine Type R subwoofers that are rated at one. 25 to 1. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for your time and consideration. ?

This box is tuned high, like 44 to 48 hz, and I'm not sure where u ppl are getting it tuned anywhere in the 30s. It even says the box is tuned to 44 or 47 hz, and your subs will have a hard time getting to the low 30s and being loud in that range.

What is the size of the porthole?

The port measures 5 1/8 x 13 inches.

What is the thickness of the wood?

It's closer to 3/8 than 3/4.

This is an amazing box
5/5

What a fantastic container. I moved up from the smaller box shown in the photos. The T1 Power 12" woofers I had were too big for the smaller one. This reminds me of old times and the sound I was looking for. The box will not let you down.

It's a purchase I'm glad I made
5/5

" THIS ENCLOSURE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!" trust and believe me when I say. "br>On a 3000 watt amp, I have both of my 12 in kickers wired to 1 ohm. I was previously using two low-cost prefabs (one vented and the other not). Now that I think about it, that was a terrible setup. I had assumed it had already struck hard, but this box proved me wrong. It hits me so hard that there are times when I can't even keep my mirror upright. It's also quite large, but it fits nicely in the trunk of my 2006 Impala while still leaving plenty of room. br>Keep in mind that it doesn't come with the necessary wiring for the subs, but speaker wire is inexpensive and simple to install.

For the price, this is an excellent box
5/5

In terms of bass, there is a significant difference. I've got a pair of 124 NVXs that run on 2000. 1 Brutus. My car is in bad shape, and it takes up the majority of the space in my trunk. My car is a 2011 Toyota Camry. Prior to this box, I had a custom-made box for a pair of 12" Pioneers. The addition of new woofers and a new speaker box made a significant difference. I hate to brag, but after this upgrade, I already had two cracked windshields in a row. The volume and amp were set to the middle of the spectrum. If you're on a budget but still want to listen to bass, this is the box for you.

I've never seen a better prefab
5/5

I've been building car audio systems on and off for the past 22 years and have never used a pre-fab box, always building my own. My wife suggested I buy one for a budget build, and I have to say it sounds really good, tuned just a tad high for my ear, but plenty of punchy lowend bass. I paid $300 for the whole system, and it's the loudest, cleanest for the money i've ever heard. The system used is a jvc kw- Refurb powerbass amps asa3-sx83bts head unit $70 pair of coustic c124 subs $50 off ebay 400 2400 watts rms @ 2 ohms mids/highs, power bass asa3- 600 1 class a/b mono block with 600 watts rms@2 ohms, both amps were $140 shipped.

With this box, four American Bass 12's RMS 2000 each sounded worse than two
5/5

In my system, the box made a significant difference. I went from having four 12s to only having two. With this box, four American Bass 12's RMS 2000 each sounded worse than two. The speakers were suffocating and also shutting down my 8000 watt power acoustic when they were played at not even high volumes but decent peace disturbing, picture frame off the wall in your house when I ride past kind of way when I had a non vented box with two speakers on top and two pointing outward. With this box, the current pull is reduced from four to two speakers, allowing for higher volume. Because the subs drown out my 1500 watt trash amp driving my mids, I'll have to upgrade my mids once more. To put it another way, get the BOX.

OMG
5/5

OMG. OMFG. I WAS QUICKLY REMOVED FROM THE ROOM! I've only listened to about two songs on it so far, but it definitely slams, and I'll have to re-adjust my amp gains because it's actually violently, ball-shakingly, ear-poppingly loud. I literally had to cut it off as I approached my street; it's blaring at an offensive volume, which is great! Granted, I'm using a spl budget build at a higher level. However, this is what I'm doing. 2 American Bass Elite 12's wired to a 1 ohm load on a Soundigital 2k evo ll pushing 2600 rms at 14 4 volts, powered by a second agm78 battery, maintaining a voltage range of 13 to 14. 3 For a clean signal, run 0 gauge OFC welding cables and three separate 300 amp fuses from the headunit to the sub amp, as well as an ampro 5 volt preamp from the headunit to the sub amp. br>This is the third and final box, and it contains all of my required subs. With four compartments, the box is quite large. My submarines required 5 cubic feet of airspace. I had a custom 2 before this box. Made specifically for my charger, a 5-cubic-inch aeroport box tuned to 30 hz. In traffic, it bumped and even trolled a little. My lows, on the other hand, were all port noise because my subs weren't breathing properly. The box was too small for my subs; a typical 400 rms sub would have fit in the box, but each of my subs is rated at 1200 rms. I literally had to cut the shxt down after putting them in this qbomb. I'm also a basshead with over ten years of experience in the game and a thorough understanding of the science behind sound systems and impedences. With that in mind, it takes a lot for me to tap out, and this box was able to do so. For fear of hearing damage, all I could do while bumping two chains "countin" was grin ear to ear and scream OMG with pure adreniline running. I had to take a break before the song ended, and the volume level was 30 out of 39. With the previous box, this was my go-to level. I'll have to lower the gain on my amps. I highly recommend this bix; the only drawback I've found so far is that it doesn't hit the LOW LOWS. 30 hz and below are extremely (violently) loud, but they will be adequately hit. And the inside terminals are a little shaky; I accidentally bent one, but just used the second set on the other side instead; for that, I deducted one sturdyness star. However, aside from that, this box is simply nastey.
