Product Description

The Audiopipe 2 conductor speaker wire 16 gauge is a 100 foot wire
I don't think this is an American Wire Gauge
The copper is clad on the aluminum conductors. The insulation and jacket are made from PVC, giving it great
Speakers can be connected to a stereo system or home theater system with this wire.
The temperature range is 20 C to 60 C (6 to 80 volts)

Questions & Answers

When is it said that the wire is not AWG?

U.S.-based American Wire Gauge is a gauge that measures the diameter of wire. An industry standard set of nonstandard items There is a wide range of conductor sizes for ferrous wire. *br>If we talk about gauge, we are talking about *Note that The term ferrous refers to materials including copper, aluminum, and others. China is the manufacturer of our WIREs. In comparison to American Wire Gauge (AWG), the strand count and size are slightly smaller. Connections Best AWG does not list wire sizes on its website because we want to be up front with our customers. The vast majority of wires you see online are made in China because American wire is more expensive. Other sellers claim it is AWG because it is a commonly searched term. *br>Here at Best Connections, we use the abbreviation GA for gauge. You can see from our feedback, reviews, and the amount of sales that our wire is a very popular wire We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. A CABLE 12GA 64/0 has been provided. The CCA,OD for 20*2C is as follows The PVC has a 4x8 MM width and is 80V at 70°C

How much current can I get through this cable for 48v with 25amps?

I would say no. This is copper-plated aluminum wire. If the entire 100 feet of wire is to be used, it must be copper wire, not aluminum wire. In the case of 100 feet of wire at 25 ADC, AWG #1 wire with a 3 percent voltage drop is required. You will need a chart for DC wire gauges if the wire length is less than 100 feet, or you will need to calculate it. In the event of incorrect wire gauge and wire material being used, a fire could start and cause death.

The gauge of wire you should use for your speakers is important. ?

What is being sent to your speakers depends on what is in your system! It should be fine to use 14 gauge for standard stereo, but make sure you know what your output is. 10 gauge was what I used

At what current can you move 12v batteries through this before they melt?

The causes of wire heating and melting are based on physics The melting point is determined as much by the amperage and distance of the 'source' as by the voltage rating You should load. As with a Teeter Totter equation, change one variable and either one or both of the other variables will change to balance the equation. 1) If the 'load' is rated at say 13, then one or both of those other variables must change as well. Its voltage is 8VDC (Automotive) and its current is 1A. You will not need to limit the voltage to 12 volts if you reduce the current to zero amps. *1 will be drawn by that same load at 0VDC. The maximum current over a short distance is 15 Amperes. A voltage effect is what happens when a load is attached to a fixed voltage. A voltage is equal to an ampere x resistance, and a Watt is equal to a voltage x an ampere. Secondly, the length of wire determines its resistance, which is similar to the distance of wire. A load is ten feet from the source if the load is pulled one foot from the source. When the same load is supplied with the same voltage, it is likely that it will draw close to 1 amp. Using the same wire size, we measure 15 amps at 100 feet. Please tell us more about the wire, load, and how many feet and how long there are. It is important to know the exact value from the source etc. *br>*br>3rd) The National Electric Code of the United States indicates guidelines for wire sizes and ampacity in "general wiring" applications. For Alternating Current (Chassis Wiring) and Direct Current (Wiring), the NEC gives different Table values. The use of 'Short Term Use' also applies to things like cold cranking amperes (starting an engine) when compared to constant A kind of average has always been my rule of thumb when calculating these figures. The following can be assumed when the distance travelled is a reasonable distance (less than 25 feet) With a 10 AWG cable, you can handle 30 amps 20 Amperes are handled by 12 AWG 15 Amperes are handled by 14 AWG wire. Can this wire handle 40 amps? Can this 12 ga wire handle 40 amps? A lot of the time, yes, assuming a very short range of distance (like 3 - 5 miles) The power source should be 'stiff' strong and solid and not drop voltage under load, Chassis Wiring application, over a very short time period (no more than 10 or 15 minutes continuously). I believe you shouldn't push more than 25 per cent of your body's capacity This cable should be used for continuous operation applications with a maximum current of 30 Amperes. In order to get a precise value, we would first need more details about the wire, such as its copper coating and number of strands. I'm just expressing my personal view. There are some general guidelines here. Although it might not melt, I am sure it'll heat up really fast. You are way over what the NEC allows if you put it in a conduit. Please be careful when using the term "in a conduit" it also implies "under a rug", "behind a curtain", etc.

This is NOT a 12-gauge pipe! There is no copper in it! As you can see, Audiopipe is on the left and GS Power is on the right in the photo
3/5

The letter A They are about the same size stripped. It is also evident how much difference there is in the amount of wire there is stripped. This cable is insulated very well and if you are looking for a wire that can handle a lot of current (not how thick it is), then this is You can solder it because of the copper coating, but it is not pure copper. Therefore, clamp connections should be avoided because of swelling when heated. It isn't clear from the picture, but it is CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum), rather than pure copper wire. In the end, it's fine as long as you don't mind aluminum wire, and if you don't need much more than 14 AWG. If they were more honest, I might give them more stars.

There is no end to the uses of wire
5/5

Aside from offering the lowest cost way to obtain good quality #12 wire (short of tearing it out of the wall), this is also the easiest method to obtain these cables. There are a lot of ways this device can be used. This is what's advertised as "speaker wire" but I use it for power leads in my vehicle to power things like auxiliary lights, VHF radios, and all those really "fiddly bits" that you are supposed The product allowed me to integrate the power management and distribution for my ham shack. If you perform a little surgery on it, you can quickly convert it into a Dipole antenna connected to any radio station. You can also use it as an emergency leash for your pet.

There is only one thing I would say about this product There is no spool attached to it. Basically, the cord is just rolled up inside the bag and you separate it out so you can put the wire on. My only complaint is that I had to go from the center, which worked just fine. This is still a 5 star rating to me. My favorite part about this is the black and red color scheme. The difference between the two sides is obvious to me, even without looking for hints. There is no doubt in your mind which side is right. It may be hard to conceal, but I understand. Due to lack of cutting edge equipment, I am unable to participate in My windows wouldn't quit blowing out until I had a wire that would be strong enough for the load. The days of 24 gauge wire are over.

Those wire strands are so fine
5/5

There is a confession to be made Projects involving audio are not my area of interest. I consistently use this wire for my ham radio projects because it is of such good quality. I cut it to the proper length for my situation because the fine strands make it flexible and highly flexible.

Copper wire is not what you need if you intend to run high amperage over this
3/5

If that's what you're looking for, then you should The crap that my inverter consumes upon load is what causes it to fail.

Exactly what I was looking for
5/5

The wire seems to be a light 12 ga or a heavy 14 ga. For the price one can't ask for anything more. That would make it thirteen or even twelve. This is a much nicer camera than my Although I am not certain if it is copper or not, I can only assume it is. Although it's fine wire, it's quite expensive. Normally, I wouldn't measure it. However, because some people claimed it was short, I did a hillbilly measurement and came to 120 ft. As a result, I'm confident that the 100 feet I purchased was at least 100 feet. I would buy this product.

There are dog feces! Since I've used this (metal) wire for the last few years, I've experienced corrosion issues
3/5

Upon a closer examination, I found it's not 12 gage wire. The diameter is less than 12 ga. Moreover, it is not copper wire, it is copper plated wire.

This is dog feces, not copper wire.

Wire of AWG 12 ga
3/5

is fine, but not wire of AWG 12 ga. It worked, but I expected 12 Ga AWG wire and this wire is significantly smaller than 12 Ga AWG wire. In fact, I think it is more like AWG 14 wire. It does not explicitly state that it is 12 Ga AWG wire. The key to 12 ga wire would seem to be to take a 12 gauge.
