It has 3 ports, 0g, 4g, and 8g, plus a side bolt fitting for ring terminals, so it will work, if you pay attention first. Make sure the 8ga port is fitted with an 8ga ferrule, then use another port with the appropriate ferrule and extra conductors added to the ferrule to take up more space, or use an 8ga ring terminal on the side. Thirdly, I suppose that you might want to put both 8ga conductors in a 4ga or 0ga ferrule simultaneously.

I don't want to have to cut the factory harness, so I'm wondering where I could buy a post that screws in?

It is not possible to buy the posts separately

To install the ring terminals on the provided lug, simply disassemble the stock connector and insert the factory terminals. The spot for any audio or additional wiring is clearly marked. I'm completing my second unit at this time. I first got it about 5 years ago and it eventually wore out at the terminal lug. Here's my second unit, which I applied some locktite blue to. As for how long it lasts, we will see.

I bought it so that I can attach the post to it and keep my fuseable battery terminal connected to it. It does not work well in some cars without It would have also been nice to have 2 There is no need for an 8ga battery no one uses one! A 4ga and a 0 gauge would solve the problem.

The total is just It was undesirable that I did not come with the post adapter for the battery

This worked extremely well since I did not want to cut the wire to my battery terminal, the adapter post didn't come with it so I used a side post adapter in my garage that I had on hand it worked equally well.
