It was possible for my iPad mini to see aircraft, but the moving map display slowed down for around three minutes. You can't use it to be aware of your surroundings. Response time from customer service was within a day, but no action was taken.

With WSI or Foreflight, I couldn't really get it to work with either iPad. There was a lot of intermittent flooding. I was horrified at the time it was receiving the resolution. The item ended up being returned.
