The product I received was no more than a FM radio antennae with a mini-mic, which I was very disappointed with given the price I paid more than $100 for it In the box, you will find a USB connector and three suction cups. Given that this device must be manufactured for less than $10, the markup of more than one hundred percent must at least cover the traffic service that I can receive through this device. At least in my area, there are no subscription fees for the traffic service once the equipment is owned. Although the service is extremely lacking, I would be better off listening to the traffic reports on the radio for my daily travel needs. When TomTom tells me that there is a delay anywhere from 1 to 12 minutes, I often have delays between those ranges. In the past, I have never gone through the process of My travel is based on delays, but also mostly because it takes longer to reroute if I learn about a traffic problem after I have already set off If I simply go on my way, I won't have to cross the bay, since this is mostly a problem when crossing the Regarding the SF Bay Bridge, I believe TomTom interprets "bridge metering lights on" signals as one minute delays, by which I mean that I think it takes 10 to 15 minutes to travel through the maze plus the delay from being cautious and driving slowly over In some cases, this could also be a problem with TomTom's mapping software. When I leave work, there will probably be accidents on the freeway, which also means that I will experience traffic backups on my usual route home. Due to my knowledge of smaller side streets, I saved myself up to one and a half hours of driving time last night. Even though this antenna remains on my car, it no longer feeds information to my TomTom, but it is still in my window. Instead, it sits in my center console / armrest, waiting to be tested a second time at a later time.
The part I received was a Currently using an 081 in Dallas as well as a TomTom ONE. My satisfaction with the RDS is based on its timeliness and accuracy In addition to being free at the moment, TMMC data service in DFW can be very useful. To get the most out of your GPS, you should always make sure the TomTom application software on your device is updated to the latest version. Older versions of Windows are called pre-7 versions. The 162 running on my TomTom ONE is very slow to find a good FM station and loses track of it frequently. *The RDS contains the following information I am getting TMC data from DFW on another TomTom GPS with bluetooth, and it appears to be the same as the TomTom PLUS data feed I am getting on my smartphone for another TomTom GPS.
Tom Tom RDS is very good. This feature has yet to be used. Previous to this, I had purchased the TMC Traffic Receiver (purchased on 02/05/2008)
Many outstanding and efficient features of device- I live in a suburb, so that may be why. It is easy to use and set up. My big trip heading south on interstates towards the end of the month is in the works. The impact should be felt in the Washington DC area, and hopefully elsewhere as well. While Tom Tom One itself is more accurate than our Mio GPS, which has excellent local coverage and detail, but even has dirt roads in Pennsylvania at our permanent vacation campground--Tom Tom One itself is not quite as good or accurate as our Mio P. A. V. I am amazed.
My order arrived in early January after I bought it at the end of December. It seems to be working well so far. Just because I don't drive much outside of the DC metro area, the app is a good way for me to learn about A changing radio station is frequent enough to keep up with the latest information. A word of caution, however, is that only traffic issues that are addressed "on the air" will be displayed, so just because you're in a traffic jam does not mean that your RDS receiver should have told you first. Another feature I like is that it shows any ongoing road construction.
Paul, I also volunteer in Minneapolis. I am able to see when I am approaching traffic and how much delay I have left. As of yet, it hasn't let me down.
Washington, DC area works really well with this service. This tool has been used to save a great deal of traffic. The FM station will be connected after some time, so be patient. If you buy gasoline at $4 a gallon, you could save a lot of money every year. It doesn't matter how long it takes.
As expected, the unit received did not correspond to the photo, and in fact, belonged to a different TomTom model. Although the third-party vendor sent me a replacement, it was still not the right product. It would have been nice if the product description mentioned that some TomTom models have traffic built in, and require only a special antennae.
I was eventually reimbursed by the vendor, when I sent back both units. After going to a big box store and finding nothing, I decided to search for a product online It's the right item it's what you want The installation is complete. I was impressed by the speed and ease of installation This is very easy to do, and it's free I only needed some spit to do the work (but no tools). needed to update my TomTom One as well, but it was easy to do. In a few minutes, I was able to figure out the unit's work, its interface was easy to figure out, and I liked the features it had to offer Designed for ease of use, and intuitive The route from home to work was fairly easy to set up. Based on this information, the unit was able to calculate the best traffic-free route and display a green dot (no traffic The traffic module reroutes me to my destination, since I take a different route to home than the way I came An all-clear was displayed after the calculation was made quickly. Due to the fact that I commute in a major metropolitan area, I receive updates as soon as I turn on the device. It will take some time for me to know if the unit will live up to its potential before it saves me from some crappy situation.
