Using SmartLink phone app as a backup, I use it as well
4/5

My Garmin DriveSmart 61 LMT-powered GPS is an excellent product The app will give you traffic and weather information if you are running it. What is the point of getting it? In other words, I do not want to get in my car, drive down the road, and then realize, "Oh, the app isn't open. ". It turns out that I have to use my phone while driving, which isn't a good idea, or just take it with me. It has been demonstrated that the GTM 60 HD receiver works excellently in this case. You can use this instead of your phone if your phone dies or if you forgot to open the app. When you have connected your phone to your pocket, and have the app running, then it is the app that is in use. This is an excellent backup for the phone for traffic, particularly for me who has lots of traffic on the road.

It is useless
3/5

It's not that my product is defective, it's just that it's It has never been reported by my Garmin when I drove in an hour-long traffic jam, but it was on Waze in the first minute. Traffic it reports is often late and not real-time at all. I had the GTM-T1 and it provided me with nothing that I could use to plan my detours. Prior to this, we used the 20 plug and are now using the GTM-55 A person might have hoped for a difference had they given 60. Differences between the two are negligible. Please do not waste your time and While Garmin makes a great GPS receiver, their only useful functionals are found in their Bluetooth connection with your If you use Waze, you may as well. The two are both useful to me.

I deducted one star because Garmin failed to explain that this is necessary if you do not have a smartphone with unlimited data to use instead, and this receiver is relatively expensive, making the cost of the GPS considerably higher than first appears

The Garmin GPS I have is free lifetime traffic. I wanted to make the best use of it as much I could. Our decision to purchase the particular unit was based on this factor. As soon as I purchased the device, I found out that it did not come with a traffic cable, which I found astonishing since it was advertised as Before ordering this I waited a year due to its high cost and the $300 price tag on the GPS unit. Even though I read mixed reviews, I ordered it after finding myself significantly more often caught in traffic and road construction. There is a possibility that the antenna may not be able to pick up the traffic signal, as I understood, depending on the vehicle. Perhaps because I will primarily use it in a vehicle that sits up very high, I will be able to pick up You have no chance at all. The device has been used many times in 3 different vehicles and on journeys to different locations, without success. The cord simply works as a power cord. This unit displays "acquiring traffic signal" or something similar in each vehicle throughout the entire trip. There is no way to get over my disappointment. In the current situation, I am considering purchasing the extra 'antenna' but I am hesitant to spend any more money on something that has never worked and on equipment I feel should have been included with the original unit since it advertised 'free lifetime traffic'. When I was in high school, I loved Garmin. There is a GPS unit I have that works well during a boat trip. I should have known that from that purchase I needed to look into what I was buying a bit more carefully. GPS unit for the boat was about $500, but did not come with a simple cable to attach to a laptop or Garmin has to be purchased and then updates are downloaded onto the sd card or I have to purchase the update card directly from them. The cord is a hassle to connect to or without it, which could have been resolved with a simple cord connection. It would be wise to check competitors next time I am in the market to buy a GPS unit in order to ensure that everything is included so that all services and updates can be used properly. It would be helpful if the previous cords - such as the 25 and 30 - had In years past, they were less expensive, but have since been discontinued, and the new 36 is still being offered here for I am 99. On the unit box, the use of services is advertised as free for life. How much will it cost to obtain those services? I'm getting close to spending the same amount on the car GPS that I did on the marine GPS since I recently had to buy an SD card for extra storage as the car GPS indicated that it had run out of space for updates. It's likely to be cheaper to find another.

I have GTM 60 HD in addition to my 2555LMT
5/5

Garmin did well with that move. Our company has had this NUVI 2555LMT for a couple of years and it has proven to be very helpful. In December, I bought the GTM 60 HD and plugged it into the 2555. I drove from Texas and then plugged it into the 2555. Tennessee, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, Tennessee, Virginia (all the way to DC, Virginia Beach, and Norfolk), Tennessee, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas. A three-digit number plus or minus! There is a world of difference with this little traffic receiver (attached to the cord). In response to the added information, the NUVI 2555LMT altered our route several times so as to avoid traffic, and on two occasions, I was able to see the traffic. A jamb was taken from our alternate route to verify that we were on the right track. I am happy with Garmin's performance. You are doing a fantastic job.

The perfect accessory for the This is the way to go if you don't want to link a cell phone to the GPS but still want to get the traffic and weather data
4/5

It is better to use this HD receiver cable rather than the "standard" one. You couldn't ask for an easier application to use. My first step was to register both the new GPS and this cable online. It is Garmin. This upgrade was done by using Garmin Express with the GPS software upgrade. This worked flawlessly without any further configuration when I took my GPS and cable out to my vehicle and plugged them in. It is a bummer that the GPS is not included with this and the buyer must buy it separately. So it gets 4 stars and not a 5.

In addition to regular traffic data, this cable enables HD traffic data as well. In case this cable is compatible with your device, I would highly recommend it.

One of the selling points of this HD Traffic cable is There is a selling point on the HD Traffic cable that it shows traffic and road construction in real time
3/5

In terms of traffic updates, it is OK, but in terms of road construction it is only about 25% accurate. Winter and road construction are two seasons I'm familiar with because I live in Minnesota. My expectation is that I would have accurate information, but this cable does not meet that expectation.
