Our estate swing gate opener has not needed a battery replacement since we have been using it for over 2 years. You must have a battery to operate the receiver, so to answer your question. In order to gain access to the electronics, four small screws must be removed in the back. There seemed to be a problem with the battery, so speak with gatecrafters to find out what it uses. Never have I used this remote for a garage door opener. I've used it only to open sliding gates. Yet it may be possible to open the garage door with it. It is possible that you will need the help of a technician. Sorry about that.

Because this remote is extremely low-powered, you should not expect it to reach distances longer than 100 feet. The four I bought were all the same. Two come directly from the manufacturer and two are purchased from Amazon, and neither will work beyond There is a remote for Estate Swing gate openers that is proprietary to that brand and will not work with any other brand. As long as all you are interested in using this remote for is actuating your Estate Swing opener when you are close to your gate, it should be sufficient. My own opinion is that I will not waste.
It was promised that all 3 remotes (one for each vehicle) would arrive quickly and in good condition. It took only a few minutes to set up after downloading the I did not receive any instructions Nonetheless, Estate Swing is equipped with a sticker that can be downloaded to your phone that is located inside the wireless module (inside the control unit). The remotes we received were in brand new condition and had batteries in them. My experience with the purchase has been excellent so far.
I need another one as I've had this one for years. My gate receiver was able to be programmed - thank you It went without a hitch. There is no reason for the price to be higher than 10 bucks.
The product was good for the price, but you had to pair it with the gate receiver. I like how it works. For the price, this is a good purchase.
